Blog?

I am tempted by the blog bessie. I have no idea what I would say though.

I could do a weekly challenge or a daily challenge or similar though.

I have yet to find one at the level I am looking for so it might have a niche.

how about you just start by writing a diary of what you've done - problems you faced/overcome (cheap/crap beads/wire etc) - perhaps once you start the ideas of where to take it will come?

I have to say that I do find WordPress MUCH easier than Blogger, but I'm sure there are plenty of other blogging sites available.

I am drinking Wine! I had some left over from the weekend, so I thought I'd better tidy it up! Grin

Scout19075 · 25/06/2012 21:23

I need to go and do the shopping but I'm waiting for one of my mom's customers to get back to me before I go. ARGH!

A diary with pictures, perhaps? Details of what beads, wire, etc and then a picture for reference.

bessie26 · 25/06/2012 22:11

Do you have to go scout? It seems far too late to go shopping to me!

Scout19075 · 25/06/2012 22:59

I regularly go on a Monday night to arrive between 9 & 10 (shop shuts at 11). It's great -- few customers, no Toddler, 30 minutes alone time.

It's a good thing I went and didn't wait for that email -- it still hasn't come through!

carrotsandcelery · 25/06/2012 23:31

I am really tempted to do it bessie. Cats you should do one too, all about your painting. bessie will cook. Scout you could do one on your home ed plans. Anyone else want to join in?

I have spent the evening making something just to liven up my profile picture.

Dh thinks it is really ugly but once he saw what I was doing with it he wasn't quite as horrified. He thought it was a piece of jewellery. At least that means I know he is honest about the other things Grin

Scout I totally see the appeal of night shopping. I can't sleep as it is without going out in the evening though so I can't do it anymore.

bessie I am Envy of your wine but I had a Crabbies last night and don't want to add alcoholism to my list of "ishoos" Wink

carrots, at the start of the year I did a daily diary of Toddler's new words of the day, his favorite books of the day (the ones I had to read over and over and over) and what we did. I failed after two months. I do plan on picking it up again when he's "preschool/nursery age." The teacher in me plans/lists/evaluates everything (though not necessarily all three for every thing).

AdoraBell · 26/06/2012 03:36

I keep a diary, wouldn't ever publish it thoughBlush

This morning OH's phone, which he's been using as an alarm, went off at 3.45 am instead of 6.45. After getting up and venturing to the bathroom I checked my watch as it seemed too dark for nearly 7am. I am now really feeling it. It's 10.30 and I still need to sort the puppies and big dogs and organise things for the morning.

Carrots pup is doing okay, both of them, for the purpose of avoiding confusing the actual puppy will be referred to (on here) as Houdini and the big dog who had her claw removed The Pirate. That's what the vet calls her after an accident last year and today he actually put Jack Sparrow on the billGrin. She has one of those head cones to stop her getting at the wound and needs antibiocs for a few days. I may have her sleep inside for a couple of nights.

Houdini is back to pooing blood, so the vet thinks it's a parasite. Have de-wormed again and both her and Floppy (her brother) are back on chicken and rice.

Right, I need to get on with de-tissueing DD2's trackie bottoms for school. I missed the tissue in the pocket so it went in th WM.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 26/06/2012 06:42

Morning all, (an early one here) Woke up at around 3.00am so got up as I couldn't get back to sleep. It has been quite productive though. Grin
I have done:
some more painting --still not finished--
some washing up
and put 1 x washing in the machine.

I think I may have a nap once the DC are at school. Wink

Carrots I wouldn't have a clue how to do a blog and I also think it would take up too much of my time. --I struggle as it is--
I am going to try and put my efforts into: housework, looking after the children and my artwork. I am finding out about a local art group so just hope I am "good enough" and will one day be able to sell some of my work. It would make a good part time job for the future if it works out!

We may need a new thread before long. Shock

bessie26 · 26/06/2012 08:07

cats blogs are really easy. You can even set them up so you just send it an email & it puts it on the blog for you!

DH is away now until Friday, so I am going to be v.busy & MUST goto bed early!!

carrotsandcelery · 26/06/2012 10:45

Cats I think it would be a great part time job for you. You would be flexible and available for the dcs if unwell, had sports day etc but once little kitten does a few more hours at school/nursery you could set aside a couple of hours a day to it. It could help the cash flow and the mental health.

The local art group sounds like a great idea Cats for lots of reasons too. I long for a better beading group. The one available to me is only once a month and I missed the last one because dh wasn't home and will miss this one because I am on holiday.

My fb page has 16 likes Grin

Adora Grin at your vet and the pirate.

Scout named our old girl Twilight and I named our young one Pup. Maybe Pup is not that helpful. It does get a bit confusing. I am glad they are doing better.

I am struggling to get going today. I keep starting things and then getting distracted by the next thing etc. I can't seem to focus. I want to do loads and am achieving nothing Hmm

carrotsandcelery · 26/06/2012 11:15

Oooh! Exciting Arti. I hope it all goes well and you get her home. Do you name your cars?

Would someone else like to volunteer?

I feel I have done my fair share of threads and I may not get on here as often too. Smile

CatsSleepAnywhere · 26/06/2012 12:25

DD and I ARE CURRENTLY GETTING COVERED IN CRUMBS FROM SOME cheese and onion twists - MADE FROM PUFF PASTRY.

Scout19075 · 26/06/2012 12:35

CatsSleepAnywhere · 26/06/2012 12:38
