Starting from March 1st lets babystep our way through the month, throwing in the odd mission.

Sign up here if you want to join in.

We have pointy sticks -> to get you off the sofa and chocolate and stickers as rewards.

Let's end our CHAOS and enjoy our sparkly homes.

Right.... Babysteps. I don't think anyone posted yesterdays? (read about how to use a calendar)

Today is Babystep 15 - make your bed!

As we are half way through the month I thought it might be good to remind us what our morning & evening routine should look like (with local ariations obvs!)

Morning Routine

  • Get up and get dressed to shoes (includes hair and face)
  • Look at your reminders
  • Go to the FlyLady BigTent group and read messages (does anyone actually do this?)
  • Recognize the negative voices and change them.
  • Hot Spot (2 minutes)
  • Five-minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house).
  • 15 Minutes declutter

Before-Bed Routine

  • shine sink
  • Lay out your/DC clothes for tomorrow
  • Hot Spot (2 minutes)

Errands in town (mostly library for book return & copies but we went to a couple of shops, too)
Swimming
Turned off heat and whipped windows wide open (LOVELY day here in Scoutshire!)

My lunch is cooking (leftover stirfry so making some fresh rice since I don't do leftover rice) so will hop over to the other to see if anyone's around.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 15/03/2012 13:46

Add 'made bread' to list and 'cleaned the cutlery drawer' after I watched The Food Inspectors last night and was shamed into it Blush

carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 14:04

bath cleaned (before I got in it as dh left it a bit Hmm this morning (there is a shower over it)

OP posts:
CatsSleepAnywhere · 15/03/2012 14:18

Glad the riding went alright carrots.

I have hoovered the kitchen and done the cat litter tray. Just having a little rest before I do a bit more.
Really need to make myself do some paper work as I have to find the MOT certificate.

carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 14:57

I have shake'n'vaced the hallway so I have to hoover it now.

I have also made a decent snack for dd as she will be late for tea tonight.

I will be dealing with 4 11ish year olds after school today, a car journey and have a dreadful headache.

I have taken some painkillers now in the hopes that they kick in in time for pick up.

Luckily I won't have them in my care for very long.

CamperWidow · 15/03/2012 15:57

Ta da:
washed and dressed
shiny sink
beds made
breakfasted
swish and swipe bathroom
wm on
clothes away
playgroup
shred day 4 with weights
made cake with DD1 (and made a cock up :()
bathroom mission
kids mission

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 15/03/2012 17:05

Well done for sticking at the shred camper! How are you finding it? I really like her but hate that she does so many plank exercises as I have tendonitis in my wrist so kneading bread hurts, never mind blooming press ups and plank poses!

Speaking of bread, my loaf is now baking and I have made pastry which is now chilling in the fridge ready to go in then oven when the bread comes out to make a quiche for tonight's tea.

I also have a headache carrots. It came on again about an hour or two ago - I had one all day yesterday too :(

I have some more ta dahs...
hoovered upstairs including using the attachment for around the skirting boards
cleaned parts of the main bathroom floor (should have done it all but could only bring myself to do infront of the toilet bowl (two, soon to be three boys using my toilets = yuk) and behind the basin. Better than nothing hey?
Done DCs tea (they're currently eating - both of them Shock)

liveinazoo · 15/03/2012 17:24

Glad riding was ok carrots

ive tried x3 to post today and messages eaten by cyberspaceHmm
then broadband went down
thankfully wharever was wrong is fixed now
ta das
dressed,fed and sorted all
moved all my clothes to girls room
cleared around my bed and under it
washed bedroom floor and dusted
washed up
hotspot
room rescued front room
school run
referred battlesHmm
listened to reading
dinners now cooking

carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 19:26

Chaotic glad some food is being eaten by all dcs! Yay!

Zoo That is a lot of hard work. I hope the man found the source of the leak.

I have had countless posts eaten over the last week or so. It makes mumsnetting a bit frustrating rather than a relaxing wee break between jobs.

Ta Das:
hoovered and now the hallway doesn't greet you with eau de dog
ferried dcs about the countryside
decluttered the kitchen table (took forever but I found proper homes for the stuff)
made tea
set table early so no one recluttered it before I got the chance
collected ds from a friend and stayed for a cuppa Grin
folded dry laundry and put it away
hung most of the wet washing - dd and friends appeared midway and I got distracted
partially loaded dw
emptied ds's school bag and put it in the wm as it was all sticky (I have now realised what made a patch of kitchen floor sticky)

CamperWidow · 15/03/2012 20:50

Chaos she only does push ups in the first set, so only 2x30 secs. I'm quite enjoying it to be honest, although my thighs are killing me!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 15/03/2012 21:14

She does in level one. Level two is full of plank stuff. As is her Six Pack in Six Weeks dvd, which I also have.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 15/03/2012 21:15

Eeuwww to ds's school bag carrots!

carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 21:22

It is all nice and clean now and hanging on the radiator in the hopes it will be dry tomorrow.

I think it was juice from his lunch box. The school won't let them put rubbish in the bin from packed lunches so half drunk cartons of juice come home dribbling all over their bags Confused

OP posts:
NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 15/03/2012 21:33

Oh God I am a failure and I have only just started.
Ended up being late back from the school run because I was talking PTA stuff (am chair), then friend in need came round for coffee and cried (she) for 1.5 hours.
I made some lunch and fell asleep on the sofa.
then the kids had friends round to play & tea after school
we all went to beavers,
kids put to bed, Dh&I fed and now to be honest I really can't be arsed.

NO housework done all day Sad
Going away for the weekend tomorrow but have the mornign to get some stuff together. Argh!!

carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 21:52

Never Sad about your friend. I hope she is ok.

I think having a nap was probably wise after that. I had a similar experience a few weeks ago and was so flustered I ended up doing something silly and hurting myself. (sorry to be cryptic but would definitely out me).

I had to check your profile page because our village has Beavers tonight and I thought you might be my PTA chair but I see you are East Anglia as well (like about 90% of this thread).

Your cakes are amazing! I may have to ask some advice in a week or two!

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 21:53

And some days are just like that and on them flying is not important at all.

OP posts:
bessie26 · 15/03/2012 22:00

never you have had a very busy day, been very kind to a friend and entertained the kids. Enjoy your weekend away & start afresh on monday!

I've done the usual stuff, plus a very productive 15min declutter of the utility room. I've got a man lined up to put a cupboard on the wall in there, so I really do need to sort it out.

chaotic stop talking about plank - I am never going to do the Shred if you tell me I'll have to do that!

DH decided not to goto the pub tonight as he wanted to watch the Masterchef final so I went for a run (that's twice this week!), have finally got round to spending my lakeland vouchers, and declined Wine Shock.

zoo did the radiator man sort things or did he get scared off by your grundies? Wink

Who's going to make us a new thread?

carrotsandcelery · 15/03/2012 22:31

bessie I think you just nominated yourself! Grin
