Hi ladies,
I know this is an established Quiche or is anyone allowed to join?
I NEED to get into action. Have done flylady before and it was a great way of sorting out my house and my life. But been away so long I really could do with some support. (and I can't cope with all the emails from Flylady!)

CamperWidow · 12/03/2012 19:22

Hiya!
This isn't a quiche at all. Jump on in, we have this thread for lists and another thread in Good Housekeeping for chat/natter.
Welcome aboard!

carrotsandcelery · 12/03/2012 19:44

Hi Never - fab name. Welcome to the thread. Everyone is welcome here. Jump in and get started. We restart the babysteps on the first of every month so anything that doesn't catch this month will catch in the next month or so.

As Camper says we also have a chat thread so those who just want to do lists (Ta Das) don't get overwhelmed by our blether. Feel very welcome to join in there too. Smile

Unloaded and reloaded dishwasher.
supervised playdate

tomorrow, must do a bit more.

carrotsandcelery · 12/03/2012 20:13

That is a respectable start Never. I am assuming you got dressed to shoes which is one of flylady's first babysteps so you have done that too. Grin

OP posts:
NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 12/03/2012 20:18

dressed to the shoes indeed, not dropped to the "going to school in pj's and slippers" yet!
Sink was shiny for part of today as well. Grin

Chaotic your cheese and tomato and courgette muffins are in the oven.

bessie I have been brave and I have put all the ingredients of lentil soup in the slow cooker without precooking anything.

FX for tonight's meal!

OP posts:
MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 13/03/2012 11:50

Oooo I hope you like them carrots!

Scout19075 · 13/03/2012 11:54

Morning!

TaDahs:
TS & I dressed before coming down for breakfast
TS breakfasted
Washed up the slow cooker (with MrScout not getting home until nearly 11 the slow cooker is just too hot to wash before bed)
Errands in town including: delivery of bag of donations, bank, Costa, Boots

ToDos:
Lunch
Set up slow cooker for tonight (pulled pork -- my first attempt at it)
Soft Play playdate
Prep craft for tomorrow's meet-up
Pack up bag & toy box for meet-up
Wash up breakfast & lunch dishes (might just wait until TS is in bed)

Not sure TS will get a nap today (Sad) so being gentle with myself and him. I expect early bed for him and I'll do my lists this evening (except, of course, lunch and setting up dinner).

bessie26 · 13/03/2012 12:01

Ta Da

  • washed & dressed to slippers
  • UNMade beds & opened windows to air the house
  • vacuumed downstairs
  • mopped kitchen & utility floor
  • scrubbed loos etc
  • popped out to Asda (they do cheap yummy pizzas, so I went to stock up!)
  • WM & TD on
  • Look at list
  • what's for tea
  • hotspot 1 (2 min) - the bathroom windowsill
  • lunch

I have a facial at 1pm (I am making the most of my childfree tuesdays!) so I have about 45min to finish lunch & get on with the rest of today's list.

To Do

  • empty all the bins
  • hotspot 2 (2 min) post pile
  • 5 min Room Rescue (bedroom)
  • 15 Minutes declutter (dining room)
  • make kids tea
  • make our dinner
  • shine sink
  • Lay out clothes for tomorrow
  • hotspot 3 (2 min)
  • go to bed on time
Scout19075 · 13/03/2012 12:25

Oh yes, empty diaper pail and all of the bins are on the list for tonight, too. Tomorrow is black bin day.

carrotsandcelery · 13/03/2012 12:27

Mumsnet ate yet another post. It is always when I have forgotten to save it first.

Chaotic the muffins are fantastic. They have made the house smell fantastic and I tested one - for health and safety reasons of course and it was delicious. I may have to test another just so I have an even number to serve Grin

I am doing more ironing (I need to get back to doing that day's every day), packed the dcs bags for their activities today, chatted to my friend when he came for Pup and folded up some dry laundry!

OP posts:
NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 13/03/2012 12:58

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the warm welcome!
so far have
taken boys to school (therefore have got dressed to the shoes)
Had a cuppa with a friend in need
been to supermarket with menu plan.
thrown a bag of rubbish away from bedroom
cleaned DS1's bedroom

still need to
make chicken cassarole for tonight
finish off some cake stuff
pick boys up from school
would be good if I could do some ironing/putting laundry away.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 13/03/2012 13:20

Hi never. I'm a relative newbie to the quiche :)

I'm so pleased you liked them carrots! There's always that moment when you recommend something and then think 'oh god what if I am actually the only person that likes it...' Grin

Ta das so far
Washed and dressed to slip on shoes
Breakfast for three
Walked ds1 to school
Walked home and collected dogs, then took ds2 and dogs to the park
Went to look at a nursery - I have applied for a job and am really hoping to get it!
Picked ds1 up from school nursery
In the theme of today's mission, cleared out a load of shit stuff I don't use from the bathroom
Rang the HR dept to ask when they're shortlisting (not 'til Tuesday Sad)
Cleared out/tidied a sideboard/cupboard-thing in the living room.

No specific lunch made as the kids have a little bit of an upset tummy and are just wanting to pick at stuff rather than eat.

Have gone from not feeling like I've achieved anything much to feeling quite good about myself just for those two little tidy-out missions. It's amazing what 10 minutes can do isn't it!
