Starting from March 1st lets babystep our way through the month, throwing in the odd mission.

Sign up here if you want to join in.

We have pointy sticks -> to get you off the sofa and chocolate and stickers as rewards.

Let's end our CHAOS and enjoy our sparkly homes.

Ahem.

I was reading the other thread Longtalljosie mentioned and I wondered if there was room for a little un on here? I have tried FlyLady in the past but could never get into it, especially as my working hours/routine are quite often subject to change.

I don't have children to corral, but I do have a horrendously unorganised home (and business!!!) and I could do with a prod up the bum with pointy stick now and again.

I am also very good at decluttering chocolates and drinking Wine if that helps. Grin Seriously though, I'm drowning a bit at the moment and I think if I can just get my home under control maybe the rest will follow?

liveinazoo · 09/03/2012 19:10

always room for anyone wants to join us.we friendly rabbleGrin

mlisc glad youre staying.thats a healthy listSmile

LadyAgnes · 09/03/2012 19:28

ooh Thorntons, yes please!

yes, I think I'll like it here!

Perhaps I'll do a mini Ta-da list:
Dressed to shoes
Make up
Put away clean laundry from last night
Loaded dw
Paid some important invoices

To-do:
Take in dry cleaning tomorrow
Sort out 'paperwork' - have moved house so all our filing is in chaos
More laundry
Dinner!
Quick clean of bathroom
Kitchen sides

Phew, think I'll try for an earlyish morning tomorrow and get some done before work!

Scout19075 · 09/03/2012 19:32

carrots like the "20 things" idea, I'll have to go read the thread.

I have done bugger all today, but hey ho, the kids & I went out to play in the morning & we all had a 2hr nap this arvo. DH has just popped out to pick up take-away, WM is on, wine is warming on the rad. I need to go drink a few glasses of water now, have had a thumping headache since I woke up & wonder if it's dehydration - haven't drunk much today.

Let's hope all the little people behave themselves tonight!

Will be back later, stuffed full of yummy Chinese food Grin

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 09/03/2012 20:00

My 3yo dropped his naps at around 21 months and ds2 is 20 months and starting to skip days now. It's haaaaard when they don't sleep through the day, but ultimately it's a price worth paying if it means they sleep better at night.

Tea is now eaten and I intend on washing up now then vegging with a glass of red :)

BlackCatTryingToFly · 09/03/2012 20:00

Declares it officially Wine o'clock and leaves a large bottle of Wine on the bar and water for bessie.

Scout19075 · 09/03/2012 20:07

I'm lucky that TS still naps AND sleeps 11-13 hours a night.

MrScout's still not home -- I think I'm going to go and have an adult beverage.

LadyAgnes · 09/03/2012 20:09

BlackCatTryingToFly · 09/03/2012 20:19

Ah bessie you may have entered the stage known as "veg hidden in blended sauce" that most 2 to 3 year olds go through. The upside is that they eventually grow out of it I am told. No... really... they do!!!

carrotsandcelery · 09/03/2012 22:15

We are finally having a quiet weekend. Hurrah!

Dd is off on a sleep over so will need to be collected and ds has an activity on Saturday pm and that is it. Yay!

OP posts:
bessie26 · 09/03/2012 22:19

Sounds nice & relaxing carrots Grin

DD1 will eat veg and pasta. She just won't eat them with a sauce on! In the grand scheme of things it's no biggie - we just put naked pasta & veg on a plate for her before mixing it all up for the rest of us, but is a bit of a pita if we eat out, although she is always happy with spuds, beans & cheese!

carrotsandcelery · 09/03/2012 22:40

Mine were the same bessie and preferred the veg raw rather than cooked into the sauce. I did exactly the same - we called it naked pasta too. Ds will still ask for naked pasta which is now pasta, cooked sweetcorn and grated cheese. It is nicer than you would think! Blush It used to be pasta, carrot batons, celery batons etc. It doesn't matter a huge amount as long as they eat the foods.

Most restaurants will do pasta with nothing on it and grated cheese on the side and a salad or similar things for dcs. You are probably like me and have got used to having to ask for meals to be tweaked because you are a vegetarian, although I imagine things are better where you are than they are here (farmers country).

Someone found out I was a veggie today and was incredulous asking, "But what do you eat?" Shock

carrotsandcelery · 09/03/2012 22:41

I LOVE baked potatoes, beans and cheese. Yum! Grin

Dd has excellent taste imo.

The first link is for the new people joining

BlackCatTryingToFly · 10/03/2012 07:43

liveinazoo · 10/03/2012 08:42

red lentil shepherds pie

-1 onion,chopped
-1 garlic clove,crushed
-4 closed cap mushrooms, chopped as fine as necessary to bypass potential mushroom haters
-2 large carrots,coursely grated
-1 large parsnip,coursely grated
-1 tsp dry sage
-150 red lentils,rinsed
-veg stock
-1 tsp marmite
-2 tsp tomato puree or ketchup
-potatoes cooked and mashed
-grated cheese

-saute the onion til starting to soften
-add garlic and mushrooms and cook couple more minutes
-add carrots, parsnip, sage, lentils and enough stock to cover.boil and simmer 20-30 mins uncovered until lentils are tender
-if necessar cook a little longer to a thickish sauce
-stir in marmite and ketchup/puree
-pur into ovenproof dish, top mash then sprinnkle with cheese
-180oc/gas 4 30-40 mins til tops brown and slurpish!

besssie the mix is lovely without adding the marmite and ketchup if you are concerned about salt levels for little ones the marmite and ketchup combo gives it a lovely savouryness i cant explainConfusedGrin

id eat this mix with pasta or rice

zoolets beelined the lentil mix BEFORE cheesy mash which is always a good sign!
