We have pointy sticks -> to get you off the sofa and chocolate and stickers as rewards.

Let's end our CHAOS and enjoy our sparkly homes.

are we still doing an hour?

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 13:33

hang washing first-thatl smell and leave a damp patch if you leave it.washing up will just sit and wait for you to do it unfortunately

bessie26 · 07/03/2012 13:33

zoo what is the stuff in you room? How much of it is rubbish which can be binned? When are they coming to look at rad?

BlackCatTryingToFly · 07/03/2012 13:34

I think I will need an hour to do my jobs, is that o.k. with you?

Meet back at 2.30 ????

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 13:41

thats fine bcSmile

bessie most of it sadly needs to be sorted and given a home within the room.i have no storage in there at the moment

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 13:44

p.s i have a gap around 2 foot wide all way round bed and a kind of step from the hall where stairwell goes,so not much room for furniture...was thinking the paperwork will,at some point end up in a sideboard in front room

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 13:44
bessie26 · 07/03/2012 14:09

Shelves on walls? Better storage boxes? drawers like these will take up less floor space than 3 boxes on the floor (obvs!)

Are you SURE you can't bin anything?

Can the boxes be moved into a different room (loft?) next Tuesday eve? Can you actually see the drip from rad? (might MrFixIt need to lift carpet & boards to check pipes? )

Bags all packed ready to go to Dr when DD2 wakes. Parking is a pita so we will walk, only 20mins, but is currently pissing it down! Also have to take the crappy knackered stroller rather than my beloved Quinny as the stupidly wide thing will be a pita to get into the waiting room

Time for Brew then more missions!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 07/03/2012 14:38

Poor zoo {{Hugs}}. I used to have a small bedroom before we moved here so can sympathies with you about not enough space.

I have just spent 1 hour hanging wet washing and putting away the backlog of dry washing Shock.

I am going to have a Brew now before school pick up then I had better have a go at the kitchen.

How did you do?

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 14:51

2 tidy food cupboards, tidy baking cupboard and under sink cupboardSmile

bessie i have plastic storage similiar to that for paperwork.i was told not to put clothes into plastic boxes as they can go damp/mouldySad

he will have to lift vinyl and floorboards as no obvious leak

on a plus note i found a bag maltesers,a twirl,a twix and packet plain chocolate digestives at the back top cupboard

BlackCatTryingToFly · 07/03/2012 14:59

Well done on the jobs! Smile.

We have just had hail stones here .

I had best go and get ready for school run too.

Might be back later.

Goodness I thought my antenatal group were chatty! I can't keep up with you lot! Right, application finished and emailed and just making a cup of tea then about to fill in a CRB check form. Not done any housework today :( Other than wash the pan I used at lunchtime but that hardly counts!

carrotsandcelery · 07/03/2012 15:49

Chaotic it is moving fast today. I had to bookmark to catch up just from walking the dogs! I love it when it is like this. It keeps me motivated to do just a bit more and just a bit more.

Dogs walked, shopping done, friend met and chatted to, ds collected, mothers at gates chatted to, ds's link book checked and he has had a good day. Hurrah! He did his presentation and seems to have really enjoyed it which is a huge step for him. Very Smile about this.

zoo I am trying to think of effective storage solutions. It is very hard to keep stuff under control if you don't have effective storage. What sort of bed do you have? Is there room under it for under the bed storage. I know Tesco do under the bed plastic boxes with lids which would tackle the books. Could toiletries be put into draw string bags and arranged on hooks on your bedroom wall? (I made dd some for gloves, hats and scarves that hang on an over the door coat rack). How much are we talking about on the clothes front? I have a rail that I used when ironing for all the ironed clothes to hang on. I have seen similar with fabric covers. I don't know what they cost though. You could look on your local gumtree or in the local paper.

I challenge you to reduce it by one box though. Grin

I do sympathise as we have a kingsized bed and room for a bedside table either side and that is the whole width of the room used up (about a foot either side of the bed). Luckily there is a built in wardrobe and enough space length wise for a really tall chest of drawers. That has to accommodate 2 of us and we invariably end up falling over dogs etc.

Would the budget stretch to a really tall chest of drawers for your room? You could then put shelves in above it for the books and precious items etc.

Do you have an Ikea nearby? (we don't but I know many people swear by them).

My next jobs I need to do are: Wash up (boring) and "What's for dinner?".

Anyone around to pointy stick?

Seniors night tonight so I'll see everyone later. Good luck with dinner and bedtimes for those DC who go to bed on the earlier side of an evening.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 07/03/2012 16:25

1 x washing up done. (Thanks! Carrots)

I'm going to try and crack on now so I might be back after 6.00.

TTFN.

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 16:51

i like the drawstring bags ideas carrotsSmile as i have 4 hooks on the back of the door

unfortunately its a divan bed with no drawers with orthapedic mattress

dd2 tlc went ok-her teacher a sarky madam though.she doesnt look old enough to teach and her choice of clothes is very questionable-today tthick tights a waterfall top/dress that skimmed to mid thigh if it was lucky,a yellow crochet cardy that ended just below her boobs and tan boots...by her standards quite conservative as she has lead a health walk in snakeprint stilletos!Shock

when i asked why dd had to stay in at break sometime she diverted to dd asking her to tell me why.when i expressed concerns for her maths i got well she has had a lot of time off and that knocks her confidence

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 16:53

i need a pointy stick and some suggestions for quick, easy dinner that yells comfort food or we shall be having green veg, pasta and cheese as cant think of anything else

bessie26 · 07/03/2012 16:59

liveinazoo · 07/03/2012 17:30

thanks for prod bessie

i have got out habit organizing what we eating for the week ahead and instead relying on good basic supplies and inspiration

thats something i should do tomorrow.write plan for rest of week
