Dlamis The 1.00 club is when a few of us (mainly me and Zoo sometimes the others) meet up (on here) and start cleaning at 1.00 till about 2.00 then meet back here at around 2.00. It is meant to encourage us to not sit and do nothing.
Wink

BlackCatTryingToFly · 03/02/2012 12:55

Zoo I think I have had various life events going on over the past 20 years which have been emotionally challenging also quite a bit of moving from one house to another so hence have never learned to cook properly.
I am 37 Blush

bessie26 · 03/02/2012 13:56

I am sat on my bed relaxing after having friends round this morning. We haven't seen them for ages, but the girls were running round holding hands within minutes & played so nicely Grin - we don't do many play date things, so I'm never sure how they are going to go!

Right, had better go clear up the mess in the kitchen (2 babies, 2 toddlers & 2 adults eating soup, fruit & yogurt) - I may have to mop the floor again!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 03/02/2012 14:03

Hi all,

I have : Washed up x 1, hoovered dining room and wrote down the ingredients from BBC Good food website.

If the link works, this is what I'm hoping to make later.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 03/02/2012 14:14

I'm going to crack on again at about 2.30.
DH is going to do the school run this afternoon so it gives me a bit more time to get things done.
He has gone for a lie down as he said he is tired! I am a bit Angry as I was up with DD in the night while he was asleep.

Dlamis · 03/02/2012 14:21

Still here.:o

Got a bit carried away. I have done hotspots, room rescue, and had a mad tidy up of the ds's toys behind the settee/play area. I can see the floor!

Going to do the ironing before the school run and will try and do a declutter when I get back.

lol at the image of zoo being splattered with lumps of black foam flying up from vigorous pan scrubbing

bessie26 · 03/02/2012 14:48

just sat down with a mug of hot choc after reclaiming the kitchen & making pasta sauce for the kids tea, and DD2 has woken up. It's only been an hour, so perhaps she'll go back to sleep again Had better go get her some milk & a snack ready.

Scout19075 · 03/02/2012 17:01

Sorry, I sudden wave of "I really don't feel good, I must lay down" and it led to a three hour nap. Blush Poor TS must have woken up 1.5 hours before me. Bless him, though, he plays so nicely in his cot with his friends & books. I still feel really funny. Might ask MrScout to collect a pizza on the way home so I don't have to cook (I hate cooking when I feel off as I'm never sure if I'm actually ill or if it's effects of something else).

liveinazoo · 03/02/2012 17:18

sending scout hugs and a soft fluffy blanket to snuggle under

Scout19075 · 03/02/2012 18:06

Thanks zoo. MrScout is going to collect a pizza. I gave Toddler a toasted cheese & chicken sandwich with peas (his favorite veg). When he goes to bed I'll do up all of today's dishes and make sure the toys I brought in from the car have a home (TS seemed to have a collection out there). Then I think I'll do my menu planning for next week while I wait for MrScout.

carrotsandcelery · 03/02/2012 18:31

Scout your story about your gifts is lovely. You have good karma. You did a good thing and a good thing happened to you Grin
bessie glad to hear the playdate went well. It is lovely when it does.
Dlamis glad to hear you are still with us and doing brilliantly by the sounds of things.
BlackCat the cottage pie sounds lovely. Let us know how it goes. I'm really impressed by your resolution to learn.

Zoo you need one of those all over body duvet coats. Most of the mums here have them. I tried to but dh had to be honest with me and tell me I didn't have the figure to get away with it (poor dh).

I have had a busy but lovely day. Dh and I went to see Sherlock at the cinema. I nearly fell asleep a few times and had to snuggle up under dh's coat I was so cold (I get the shivers when I am too tired) but I had a MASSIVE hot chocolate while I was there and thought of all of you.

I had a flat tyre just before we left so I picked my car back up from the garage where we left it (I have to wait until Mon for a snow tyre so just have my spare on) and went straight to a meeting at the school about ds.

I was really touched at the meeting because a few children have written nice things about ds on the friendship wall (a wall where the dcs put up a handprint with a comment about something kind someone did for them on it). She also wants to enter one of his stories into a competition as she is so pleased with it. I hope I don't sound like I am bragging. For most dcs this would just be normal but we hit rock bottom and this is a huge deal for him. I am so pleased with him.

I went straight from that to meet the dog we are thinking of adopting. She is lovely - really friendly and easy going. Our dog was a little grumbly with her but I am told this is normal. We are borrowing her tomorrow for a walk and then a little trial in our garden and home if things are going ok. FX.

While I was doing that dh has made tea (baked potatoes with leftover sausage stew) and tidied the kitchen.

I need to put a wash on and do some ironing. I am still shivering so I will need to settle down after that and relax a while or I won't sleep again and we have an early start.

I am glad I did a lot at the start of the week as I have not got much done today. We have kept things ticking over though so that is something.
