Oh dear HMHB. Sick toddlers is gru.
I am afraid I did succumb to the charms of pampered chef, but not the chopper, you will all be relieved to hear. The stoneware was on a20%off offer, how could I resist. It better be bloody good. Got the rectangular stone and a dish thingy plus small one free. I expect transformation in my cooking, all healthy like with no fat.
Hope birthday is going well jks.

Happy birthday JKS DS2 and well done to JKS/JKS DH on what was clearly a very successful birthday all round. Bed with a taxi and a London Bus? marvellous. Mum sat with a glass of wine? Double marvellous. Though sore foot still, not so marvellous. But well done to you all!!!!

We've just taken the DC out for a pizza, so now home, full tummy, and seeing as DH has to get up at 2am to leave for a skiing trip Hmm I suspect it will be a glass of wine and a very very early night! Absolute bliss not having to cook/clear up!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/01/2012 13:19

Only sometimes, and not for a reliable length. Although he is asleep at the moment! He dropped off in the buggy on the way back from taking DS1 to preschool and has been flat out since, which is an hour and a half now. If he would do it reliably it would be lovely because I could plan to have a bath, or do some jobs or whatever.
He will nap if we go out in the car, but wakes up immediately that the car stops, but often if we are just around at home and short trips out with the buggy he will only have about 30 minutes sleep during the day.
It wears me out, and it is a bit of a nightmare for DS1 because he never gets any time at home when T isn't rampaging around the place, crawling through his games, eating his toys etc. I put stuff up on the dining table for DS1 and T yanks the tablecloth off so it all goes on the floor. He is moving trail of destruction and we are all exhausted. He is gorgeous with it, obviously Grin, but I do yearn for a break.

Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant Blush

FreakoidOrganisoid · 23/01/2012 13:54

Sympathies ali, ds was a non napper too and it was exhausting.

Had a very productive day yesterday, did bikini line, trimmed hair (head hair!), cleaned bathroom, sorted through the books, sorted and tidied the toys, sorted through dd's desk, sorted dd's hair stuff and jewellery, put away clean washing, dusted bedrooms, hoovered everywhere...

...and today I have drunk tea and eaten cake with my friend Blush

JKSLtd · 23/01/2012 20:31

Aww, sympathies Ali. It's the unpredictability of it that's so awful. I have found though that DD's nap (the main midday one) can be very restrictive. I always feel we have to rush anything in the morning to get home on time, then have no real time to do anything before sch run in the afternoon.
I've found since having DS1 stopping his nap (however many years ago) which i was distraught at Grin that life is easier when they properly stop napping overall.

HMHB glad you are all feeling better :)

JKS you are right it is the unpredictability. I have decided though that any naps he does have while DS1 is at preschool, that I will use the time to have a cuppa, read a book, do some exercise - something for myself rather than jobs unless they are v.urgent paperwork/admin type things.

Early start here today but now I've sat down and need to galvanise myself.

Yesterday I went through 2 piles of paper in the office of doom. It smells better in there now. Though still not that nice.
Tomorrow I will venture in again. (prepares protective clothing and air filter)
fell I am not achieving much at present. Must get organised.

AnonymousBird · 25/01/2012 10:20

Hello everyone.

Having a major tidy/housework session today (apart from right now obviously!) as things seem to have gone somewhat to pot since end of last week.... House now smells of bleach (bleugh) and Flash. Next, it's the main event. The kitchen. I'm allowed a chocolate biscuit at 11am (45 minutes...) if I've done the bulk of it!

Mini - I have ignored our study for about 6 months. I entered yesterday (at great personal peril) and went through one box of papers.... and that was enough!

May venture back in later and shuffle things around a bit more try and sort through another box. Or maybe I won't.

Minimammoth · 25/01/2012 15:39

Today I have:
been shopping, have alook at my 'made you smile' thread in chat.
bought some bargain treggings.more like narrow leg trousers, really comfy.
got VAt up to date
Filed paperwork for DH
avoided office of doom
cuppa now and then might venture into office, < searches for bio hazard tape and gas mask>
