I don't have a Kindle - my MIL has and she loves it. I don't get a huge amount of time to read (ha!) and when I d it's in bed so i'm happy with a book.
If i was commuting or travelling I would definitely get one, so many books in one small lightweight thing.

I'd like to get one in the future, though I'm still a little sceptical about not holding an actual book.

Hi ladies :) Been a bit slack on the listing front, things are a bit stressful here re. DH's work - ie. he is being made redundant in 2 weeks. Eek. Also DS2 now has chickenpox, so I didn't get much sleep last night, he literally wants a boob in mouth at all times!
However, despite the lack of lists I've been keeping on top of things.

Ooh JKS - a child-free outing!
DH got home just in time, so he went and got DS1. Drop offs are ok because I can just send him through the door with his bags, but pickup is more tricky. I will speak to them when I drop him off on Monday and see what they want me to do.

Mini babies do get the blisters, his head is covered! Hopefully he will be alright in a couple of days.

DH now has a couple of interviews lined up, but has also set up a business and is talking to a couple of prospective clients next week.

Yes mini - yuck at cat wee!

Child-free outing consisted of:
a) picking up DH's prescription & going to the chemist
b) dropping off overdue books at library
& c) buying vests for DD (though I allowed myself some sale-browsing too)

so don't feel too lol!

WHat's really made me chuffed today is DH unprompted said about how much I'd done around the house this week, so i asked him what specifically and he's noticed all the organising i've been doing in cupboards, etc. Given he hardly sees things right in front of him that's high praise

JKS - DH's can surprise us sometimes, hey?!?!? I actually got "don't worry, you have a nice long shower, I'll go and sort out the breakfast carnage downstairs". .

That said, he has gone off out from 1-6 (at least) playing rugby/drinking beer, so he kind of needed to earn a couple of brownie points.

JKS - DS1 normally gets up somewhere between 7 and 8, although he did climb in with us at 6.15 the other morning. T is awake at all hours though so don't be too !

Doing ok here, plodding along. This evening I need to book Friday's Waitrose delivery and do some meal planning.

Haven't listed today - been a bit as woken at 2am and at 3am by water system doing odd things - lots of noise. Could not work it out so just switched everything off. Found out this morning - major water main break 300 yards away so pressure zero and our lovely super duper pressurised system goes into meltdown with no pressure!!!

So, JKS, for once we were woken in middle of the night and then very early by very cold children at 6am due to no heating on!!!! (swings and roundabouts and all that.....).

Anyway, water now back on, so system hopefully working again.. no nasty noises yet.

JKS if it helps ds was up at 5.15 today. Not normally quite so early (6/6.30 is usual for him). I am a terrible negligent mother though and let him go downstairs and watch tv until I drag myself out of bed at 7.30 I'm awake once he is, but he is usually sensible enough for me to just keep an ear out for him now.

Have been really grumpy recently, headaches too which aren't helping.

Have come over feeling really tired. DC's in bed tho thankfully.
