Hello again everyone! This is the new thread for us as the old one was getting a bit unmanageable.

I just feel a bit like the bad guy tbh. I didn't want it to end really, but I didn't want to be left hanging either and I've been feeling like that a lot recently. At the beginning of our relationship he was wonderful and romantic and considerate. But just lately he's been crap, he's not wanted to spend any time with me he's been distant and he hasn't bothered to ring me much, and I've just had enough of trying so hard. he said we'd be delaying the inevitable anyway but then he also said he loved me, urrgghhhh.
I don't think he wanted it to end but he did hesitate for 30 seconds no less when I asked him if he wanted to be with me. I've had a good natter to my closest friends and they've all said its for the best and are going to meet me for a coffee in the morning after dropping kids off.

GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 21:50

Really don't feel like flying now. Think I may just have a soak and go to bed.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 22:04

I'm glad you have someone to see in the morning Gossip. Usually good friends know when you should fight for things and when you should let them go. I feel so Sad for you. I don't know if it helps but you can love someone and not be IN love with them iykwim, and that is not enough generally. It sounds like he knows you are a good person but that you are maybe not the right soul mates for each other. Things like that are better found out sooner rather than later. It doesn't stop it hurting though. again.

I hope you enjoy your soak and sleep well.

Morning Gossip hope you're doing ok this morning and enjoy your chat with your friends. Go gently on yourself. It's always sad to say goodbye but some times it's for the best..

day 26 for me, haven't got any flylady emails to read so any top tips anyone? All swished and swiped. (tent still drying in conservatory but the rest of the camping stuff is now in loft)

LittleMissProcrastinator · 21/09/2011 09:45

Morning all, Last night I managed to put away the dry washing but was too tired to do anything else.
So To Do today:
Load washing machine
wash up / dry up
clean worktops in kitchen
Try to cook a nice dinner tonight (failed that one yesterday!)
hoover up
Feed cat and do litter tray
Maybe some decluttering
Put Dermol cream on dd face(eczema has flared up again)
fetch ds from school

Ds has his first swimming lesson with school today so I am a bit worried about that.
Right I ought to get on and try to do some jobs!

Carrotsandcelery · 21/09/2011 11:17

Morning everyone. Gossip I hope it all looks brighter this morning and you have a good time with your friends.

Ds is not well so he is curled up on the sofa under many blankets watching tv in the kitchen. That confines me to this room a bit, with short ventures elsewhere in the house. He has a high temperature, despite a full dose of Calpol 6+ so I will have to keep an eye on him. On the plus side, he is eating me out of house and home so he is not too dreadful surely.

So far I have:
washed and dressed to shoes
made 1 packed lunch
got dd to school (with ds in backseat of car in his pjs)
made a cosy duvet bed for ds on the sofa
chatted to my dmum on the phone
put a load of washing on
loaded the dishwasher
put 3 items on ebay
fed all the animals outside and put in extra hay as it is cold and windy

To do:
Today's mission is here I don't think I need to do this - our bedrooms are too small to add extras that don't need to be there - but I will have a look just in case.
reload dishwasher
clean worktops
do some ironing
declutter what I can of the kitchen table, around dd's homework chaos
keep ds entertained throughout all that which may mean slow progress today.
hot spots - not sure which ones yet
room rescue lounge - dusting

LittleMissProcrastinator · 21/09/2011 11:39

carrots Hope ds gets better soon.
I am sat having a rest and trying to summon some more energy to do some more housework. I've been looking at the food boards on MN and it's making me feel like doing some cooking or baking. First I need to get all washing up done so I have more room for cooking / baking.Grin
Ds wants to help make some cakes so there is a good reason to get the kitchen cleared. Wish me luck!

Carrotsandcelery · 21/09/2011 13:23

He is not too bad but not right either LittleMiss. He has played for ages with his Transformers but now he has clambered back into his little sofa duvet nest. Sad

I am not getting much done as he doesn't want left alone so I have been listing on ebay, thinking that is eventual decluttering at least.

The plumber is here again and has had to put the water off. He has stuff all over the hallway so I well and truely trapped in the kitchen anyway for now.

I should be ironing but I can't face it when I only have Spongebob Squarepants to watch. Grin

Baking sounds lovely but I had better not. I don't think it would help dd any Grin

OP posts:
GossipWitch · 21/09/2011 16:42

I have been with my friends all day but i have got an absolutly minging cold so things are just getting worse today and i still haven't done any flying. changed the relationship status on face book though and turned chat off lol.

bessie26 · 21/09/2011 19:34

Hi, just a quicky - one of you guys (sorry, can't remember who) posted about drying clothes when you don't have a tumble dryer? Just got this email & wondered if it was of interest?

Carrotsandcelery · 21/09/2011 20:01

Evening all!

The dcs have been packed off to bed and the kitchen looks like a bomb has exploded. How can having one small child home for the day throw me so completely? Shock

The laundry is up to date though, just not the folding, putting away or ironing. Yikes!

The bathroom is still in pieces so I won't be doing any cleaning there at least and the master bedroom still looks fab.

The worst news is that dh made himself a Brew and not me Shock Suitable punishment suggestions please Grin

OP posts:
LittleMissProcrastinator · 21/09/2011 21:07

I very nearly got up to date with washing up then we had dinner so taken a few steps backwards. We never got any baking done so it might have to wait till weekendHmm.
I think it will be a long time before I get all my laundry up to date, although things have improved somewhat since I started trying to FLY! Smile

LittleMissProcrastinator · 21/09/2011 21:12

Thanks for the link Bessie just had a look. Smile

bessie26 · 21/09/2011 22:16

I think Mr Carrots should have to do (at least some of) the ironing for his punishment!!

Is your DS any better? My DDs are a bit under the weather today too, I wasn't too worried until the staff at nursery said that DD1 had been off her food Shock (this never happens), so I'm hoping she makes a dramatic overnight recovery for her & that DD2s temp doesn't get any worse.

I'm not going to post a list, because other than 4 loads of laundry I've done nothing but entertain a slightly grizzly DD2. (3 have been put away, 1 still in the tumble dryer Wink)

Carrotsandcelery · 21/09/2011 22:34

Aha! Great plan bessie. He is protesting innocence though.

Ds is ok thanks. Not dreadfully ill but not right either and still roasting. It seems there were several dcs off in his class with the same sort of thing.

I hope your dds are ok bessie. I hate it when mine are off their food.

There is snow near us today. I am Shock. I am so not ready for more snow yet.

OP posts:
AngelDog · 21/09/2011 23:13

Hello everyone.

Hope all the ill DC are better soon.

Gossip, hope tomorrow is a better day.

Done:
1 load washing
Cooked apple for the freezer
Made dinner
Put away dry laundry
Washing up
Changed sheets
Assembled toy kitchen (£4.99 from the charity shop - bargain! Grin)
Had a nap - so didn't do much else Grin

Now I need to hang out the washing and go to bed.

I'm starting to flag a bit in enthusiasm tbh.

Tomorrow's another busy day so I'm being realistic with my expectations.

To do:
Update calendar
Laundry
Cook more apples if time

Carrotsandcelery · 22/09/2011 09:34

Morning all!

bessie how are the dds?

Ds is not too bad but I have kept him with me today. I think he will be back tomorrow though. He is playing with some action figures, wrapped in a blanket on the kitchen sofa.

So far I have:
washed and dressed to shoes
made 1 packed lunch
taken 1 dc to school
loaded the dishwasher
cleaned the worktops
decluttered all the bags dumped in the kitchen from various outings so far this week. (room rescue)
cleaned the car (was badly needed) and hoovered and Febreezed it. (15 min declutter)

To do:
book a hair appointment (been a loooonnnng time!)
put a wash on
do some ironing
Kelly's mission is this one I don't need to do this as the drawer is nice and tidy. I might do my pjs instead if I get the chance.
Drag poor ds to my exercise class Blush

Put something on ebay
2 x hotspots - vestibule and kitchen table I think

I will see once I have done that lot.

Gossip how are you faring today?

What has everyone got planned for the day?

OP posts:
AutumnHues · 22/09/2011 10:07

Hi all, Felt like another name change! Might go along the seasonal lines.
Don't want to confuse you all (I was Little miss)Grin
I'm feeling quite tired this morning so am sat with a coffee trying to get myself going.

Carrotsandcelery · 22/09/2011 10:13

I am making slow progress too Autumn (like the name)
I spent ages listing an item on ebay only for my laptop to crash - gah!
So I am having a Brew and bracing myself for a second attempt.

OP posts:
AutumnHues · 22/09/2011 10:23

Carrots I was Shock to hear you had snow near you yesterday. We had a very heavy down pour of rain at the same time as the school run yesterday so we all got a soaking (apart from dd, she was in pram). Is dry at the moment here so I am wondering whether to hang the washing outHmm

AutumnHues · 22/09/2011 12:29

This morning I have:
Got dressed
made bed
breakfast
ds to school
sat and MNetted
hanged out washing

To Do:
wash up/dry up
do lunch
sort control journal

I don't feel ready to do master bedroom this week although it's not too bad anyway.
I am using my control journal for lots of different things and have bought some dividers for it .I'm hoping I might be able to do a bit of stock control (for food) so I know what we have and haven't got. This might help to reduce our shopping. Hmm I'm hoping any way! Grin
How are you all?

Carrotsandcelery · 22/09/2011 14:25

I am back from my exercise class and washed and dressed to shoes again. I also ache a bit but assume that means it is doing me good.

Autumn the snow was in the hills about an hour from us. I am in a t-shirt today so it is not baltic yet, just windy. It would be great drying weather if I had a washing line.

I need to put more stuff in the dishwasher, clean the worktops again and make another attempt at listing an item on ebay.

I have come over all lethargic though and am cuddled up on the sofa with ds while he eats pasta and watches The Pink Panther and having yet another Brew.

I have ironed one item (better than none Grin) but know I need to pack for a weekend away so I should do more.

OP posts:
AngelDog · 22/09/2011 14:49

Hello all.

Done nothing so far today other than wash up after breakfast - been out this morning, then my brother & family called to see us.

Need to:
Hang out last night's wet washing
Load dishwasher & wash up from lunch
Put another load of laundry on
Think of something to have for dinner

Would like to:
Cook apples
Freeze yesterday's apples

GossipWitch · 22/09/2011 17:03

I still feel like poo, but a few of my friends and I will be celebrating Madron tomorrow night so it will be drinks and feasting, and I've brought some puff pastry to make some yummy swirls for the occasion. Unfortunately I feel a sinus infection coming on, and as for the ex I think that perhaps he wasn't that into me or he would have tried harder to keep me. still haven't done any flying but I think I may have to soon, the house is in ultimate chaos, and I got my shower today just waiting for my brother to turn up with a drill and then I'll

take some tablets
test the shower
get dressed in to pjs and slippers
wash up
15 min de clutter the living room
5 minute the laundry
5 minute the bathroom
swish and swipe
rubbish run
2 minute hot spot the table in hall
2 minute hotspot the stairs
laundry
get clothes out
go to bed

I have already achieved :-
getting up and dressed
breakfasts
school run
avon books
pta meeting (I got the halloween cake !!!)
and the kids are calm for the moment!

I procrastinated round my nan's all day btw. bless her she's pooped :(

bessie26 · 22/09/2011 18:40

Hi all, DD1 was full of beans this morning so we sent her off to nursery, but her rash came back this arvo & now has a slight temp so not 100% better yet. DD2 has been a bit wingey, but no temp. Perhaps we will all spend tomorrow on the sofa like you carrots!

I've managed to tidy & clean (most of) my kitchen worktops, so making room for the steriliser. Next job is to do some expressing (does that count as decluttering?) and see if DD2 will take a bottle...

gossip what is madron? Is that another name for the equinox?
