Hello again everyone! This is the new thread for us as the old one was getting a bit unmanageable.

Morning all!

How is everyone today?

The sun is shining here so I feel fired up to get going again.

So far I have:
washed and dressed to shoes
made packed lunches (only for one to decide to have a school dinner Hmm)
swished and swiped the main bathroom - twice
posted an ebay parcel
picked up my prescription

To do:
hang washing to dry
put another load of washing on
pack ds's swim bag
room rescue kitchen
load dishwasher
clean worktops
15 min declutter bedroom + yesterday's bedroom mission
today's mission which goes well with yesterday's
sort out bank account so that I can put more on ebay
phone plumber about toilet misbehaving
hang a picture
go on a small shopping adventure with a friend Grin

I will judge after I have done that lot whether there is time for more.

Hello,
This morning I have:
Got dressed
made bed
got ds to school
been to Asda for essential items of food.

Now stopped for a break. My next mission is to go to town and find a swim bag.
Ds has swimming lessons with school tomorrow so I need to find a suitable bag to put his stuff in. I'm guessing I might have to look in a sports shop.
If anyone has any ideas, that would help.Smile

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 11:19

LittleMiss I find one of those Orla Keily style shopping bags from Tesco are the best thing for mine when they are swimming. There is loads of room in them to get everything in and out. Mine don't go with the school though - that is a bit trickier. I will have a think.

Loads of kids here use drawstring bags - you can buy them in sports shops. My ds would just not cope with that but then he has his issues. Most wee boys probably would.

Plumber is on his way, forcing a scrub of the toilet and surrounding area Grin

I have done everything on my list except hang the picture, go out with friend and sorting out bank account.

I have tidied out the bottom of my wardrobe, the top of and drawers inside my bedside table and what I can of the top of the chest of drawers. Dh will have to do the rest as it is all his stuff. I have also tidied up the pile at the bottom of the bed and discovered that under the pyjamas that were mine was a whole lot of dh's mess. That will teach him to complain about a hot spot - he now has to hot spot the rest of it Grin

I felt I had earned a Brew although it will only be polite to have one with the plumber too and a biscuit.

I will get the hammer out in a minute too. It surely can't be that hard to hang a picture. I will wait months for dh to help me.

Picture is up and I hung another one that has been hanging around for years a while as well. Took literally 5 minutes - why did I put it off for so long?

OP posts:
Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 11:56

Off to photograph heaps of things for ebay so I can get going once the bank business is sorted.

Plumber hasn't turned up yet - said he would be here by 11.30. He is lovely so I will forgive him for now.

He is guaranteed to turn up the minute I have ebay stuff everywhere isn't he?

Use a proper picture hook carrots, that way you wont mess it up to much ( I had to fill a load of holes that I'd made with nails, before the last decoration0, I have however fabloned bathroom and put my rail and curtain up, I spent a bit on the fablon though so I'm now wondering what to do with the left overs (I'm thinking candle holders may be?) I haven't started flying yet I'll be getting to it soon I'm just a little pooped atm. The mission is a good one though I'll be attacking it with great gusto, have been meaning to sort out the drawers for a long time.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 12:28

As predicted, the plumber came the minute I started taking photos. Grin

Gossip you don't mess around do you? How does it all look so far? Are we getting photos?

OP posts:
GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 12:40

I think I may need to do a bit of trimming here and there but I need my dad for an experts opinion/help. Its rather bubbly in one corner but once I have it all done I'll be putting up photos. I think they'll be up by Saturday. Then that will be the bathroom and lounge done! I'll be working on my room and the kitchen soon. And then hopefully after xmas be re-carpeting upstairs and the stairs.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 13:58

Is it a new house Gossip - you are on a mission!

I have got more washing on and more washing hung. I have hoovered the bedroom and started decluttering the spare room which ds seems to have filled with small soft toys Hmm

OP posts:
LittleMissProcrastinator · 20/09/2011 14:12

Mission accomplished! have got a swim bag for ds (drawstring gym bag)
Just need to find his swimming trunks and a towel now.
While I was in town I went in a few charity shops and got 2 pairs of trousers for dd and a dress and also a dolls house for £5.00. (normally around £24.00 in Argos)Grin I do like a bargain!
As for Flying I'm afraid I haven't done much with not being home all morning.

GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 14:15

No, I've been here for 9 years now, I just feel like changing it at the minute, I've also paid all my bills off and am managing to save my cash brilliantly so it means I have more to spend, and soon it will be the avon xmas rush which means that by the end of xmas I'll have plenty of cash to splurge on the carpets. In theory anyway.

shouldbeelswhere · 20/09/2011 14:19

Afternoon everyone. Oh dear haven't been around for so long I lost the thread! :( Anyway I'm back and sitting here instead of getting on. My sink is still shining but the camping stuff is in a heap in my bedroom waiting to go in the loft... just off to do that now

GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 18:35

Oh its been a busy day today, and my home still looks a tip!!
I've hotspotted hall table
5 minuted the kitchen
fabloned and done stuff to the bathroom
dad done my blinds (almost there)
took shelves to the boys room and put there books on it
bribed them with pudding for them to put toys away and take them upstairs

I've still got a whole lot of crap to do
get ds2 washed and ready for bed
dump useless boyfriend
get ds1 in the bath somehow
wash up
shine sink
five minute lounge
mission
15 min declutter of ..... washing piles?
hotspot dry pots
put clothes out
have a bath

I'm really not in the best of moods at the minute so if im back later bawling in the relationships thing please don't think bad of me !

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 18:51

Gossip from what you have said about him on this thread, I don't think he is really worth the grief.

Go and say what you need to say to him, then come home, have a Wine and appreciate yourself.

Good luck - I will be thinking of you.

Hi should - I am pleased you found us again.

LittleMiss well done on the swimming kit mission. I hope he likes it.

OP posts:
LittleMissProcrastinator · 20/09/2011 19:10

Just a quick update,
I have done: 1 load of washing & hanged out
wash up/dry up
Cleaned up sick (dd again) Trying to put too much food in her mouth(sorry if TMI)
will have to do more washing now.

Carrots Has the plumber fixed your problem.?

LittleMissProcrastinator · 20/09/2011 19:18

Can someone kick me off this chair?
I'm sat here procrastinating on MN again and I need to load the washing machine and check ds has all the uniform he needs for the next few days.
It's so easy to get sucked in to MN.Blush

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 19:33

The plumber needs to come back tomorrow with a new part of the cistern. At present the vanity top is in the hallway and the cistern is open and very tempting for a mischevious 6 year old. Help!

Dd has been given a very messy homework project involving paint and paper mache and not enough time to complete it all. Don't you just love it when teachers do that? My lovely clean kitchen table now has painting stuff spread all over it and I suspect this will go on for days. Joy and happiness!

LittleMiss go and do your jobs and then you can relax and mess around on Mumsnet guilt free Grin

OP posts:
shouldbeelswhere · 20/09/2011 19:43

stuff in loft and summer clothes exchanged for winter clothes! Yay :) and all because I really need to do my tax return :( bo hiss.

I'm with you LittleMiss

:( to homework in general Carrots

GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 19:57

Already fell in to the relationships thread, and haven't even got the bottle to dump him yet. I have got the belly wobbles, I wish he would just dump me it would be so much easier.

shouldbeelswhere · 20/09/2011 20:01

Be strong gossip you are a strong person and you will do what is best for you and your family whatever that may be

GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 20:03

thanks should, just tried to ring him and his phones engaged.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 20:23

Gah! Gossip have you got the belly wobbles because you don't really want to dump him or because you are scared to dump him? Can you do something outrageous to MAKE him dump you, if that is what you really want? It could be fun [mischevious emoticon] Have you done the what have I got to lose/gain lists to evaluate the situation?

I hope you are ok whatever you decide to do.

OP posts:
GossipWitch · 20/09/2011 20:31

Its done and we ended it mutually, I'm a tad bit gutted and I think he might be too.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 21:08

Aww Gossip Do you want to talk about it?

OP posts:
AngelDog · 20/09/2011 21:27

Well done on managing to make the call, Gossip, and I hope you feel a bit better about things soon.

Well, it's twenty five past nine and we are in chaos. We've been out all morning and afternoon. I had what was supposed to be a short nap with DS at lunchtime and woke 2 hours later Shock Grin so nothing got done then. I'm sure it did me good though.

DS went to bed a bit late so I'm only just starting out on FLYing.

However, I did (just) manage to get out of the house by 9.45am which was early for me, despite getting up 15 mins later than usual. :)

Done:
1 load washing
Unloaded dishwasher

To do:
Physio
Put away clean dishes
Load dishwasher
Wash up & wipe kitchen
Hang out wet washing
Put away dry washing
Make porridge
Write shopping list
Stop at 10pm and go to bed. (Unlikely!)

Tomorrow:

  • Cook dinner
  • Update calendar
  • Write up some notes
  • Put dry washing away
  • Change sheets
  • Print pages for control journal

I'm out tomorrow morning and afternoon again so it'll be hectic again!
