Purple - Shred is so hard! I did it for about a month before I got pg and I will definitely do it again, although probably not until the baby is at least 6 months!

Just spent £68 on boden sale. Not too bad I guess. Two tops for me and two for DD.

I have Plum to thank for the name, so credit to her on that one...

British Gas. Deep sigh. They've been and they've gone 3 times, supposed to be 4th time today. They cancelled me last week without telling me, rebooked, did not come until I shouted. Came again wednesday - promised me it was fixed, it wasn't, supposed to come today to fix again. Did not turn up, cancelled me, but did not call AGAIN. Now booked (apparently ACTUALLY booked) for tomorrow. We'll see.

Boden sale - a few staple tshirt type things and jeans for me, and a couple of small things for the children. Not a lot, just handy things. I cant be doing with their big bold stuff, but their staple tshirts I usually like and I LOVE their bootleg jeans, never had a pair that didn't fit like a glove. Wear them to death, then buy another pair in the sale! Sweetest ever looking hat and scarf set for DD.... Couldn't resist, and she loves all that sort of stuff.

DD is a kind of weird mix, adores formula 1, scalextric, rugby, cricket and all that stuff (spot the girl with an older brother) and is so not a pink princess at all, but then give her a pretty hat and some sparkly shoes and she has died and gone to heaven!

I don't go for the patterned things from Boden either - they are too obvious even if I liked them, and there is always the risk of seeing someone else with the same item! 18 months ago we were on holiday in Cornwall, and 2 women came down for dinner wearing the identical Boden dress. Red faces all round, and open grins from other women (including me) who recognised the pattern!

Purple - £68 for 4 things is a bargain!

DS is still eating! Asked for another sandwich, which he is now munching his way through. I think he is making up for hardly eating anything for 4 days this week!

British Gas are infuriating. I am now also with UPS. Am still waiting for my new boots. The tracker said they couldn't be delivered from local depot due to adverse weather conditions on Monday and Tuesday, despite the same UPS depot delivering a parcel for DH on Monday . Wednesday and Thursday it said nothing at all. This morning it updated Thursday's note to say mislaid in depit and that they would be delivered today. NOTHING. GRRRR. Will be spring before they arrive at this rate.

Hello all. purple - grrr for UPS. With British Gas, I'd be slightly less angry if someone actually said "sorry" or at least phoned me, rather than me chasing them.. Anyway, the boiler does seem to be behaving today so we have warmth and hot water, so not hard done by, but I don't trust the boiler to get through the winter without numerous middle of the night trips up the loft ladder (NOT fun for DH!)

Grr for British Gas and UPS. too here. I ordered some wellibobs from an ebay seller, only online source I could locate as they are sold out everywhere. So I've been waiting for them to be delivered, and today I've got an email from paypal to say the money has been refunded, and no word at all from the seller, plus he's still got them listed.

Anyway, I haven't finished up in the kitchen, but it's been such a fun and productive day again otherwise that I don't care.

Morning! I did wash the pots last night, couldn't leave them. I have turned a corner!

DH is home and snoozing, I hope to turf both boys out later for a deep cleaning of the frontroom session.

I have just come back from town. Blargh! Rant warning....
Why does every shop smell of stale sweat and stinky trainers?
I was trying to find toy, clothes etc for DGCs felt that my brain was slowly dissolving. too much plastic, noise and samey -press this button and noise toys.
And why are 'girls' toys mostly pink.
I don't know whether I need help or therapy.
OK you can come out now rant over.
