Alice - F sounds like DS was at that age. He just didn't sleep, it was horrendous. Really hoping I get a sleeper this time around......

In 11 weeks my baby will be here. Argh so much to do and so little time!!!! Although I did find a load of breast pads, maternity pads and disposable knickers, and my BFing vests earlier so that is a few less things I need to remember to get.
I think my lists are getting longer not shorter, I'm crossing one thing off and thinking of 3 more.

TODAY
All up and breakfasted - done
Run a cleaning cycle on the dishwasher - done
3 loads of washing - 1 washing/1 drying
Get everyone washed and dressed - done
Out to Mothercare and Sainsbury's and some fresh air - done
More DIY and cleaning - done

Kitchen floor!!!!!!! - swept but not mopped yet
Clear out one drawer in our divan and the bottom of DH's wardrobe - done

Make tagine for dinner with some of the leftover lamb
Freeze remaining lamb and veg for another day

Ali - F does sleep, but every other week or so he has a mammoth growth spurt which can last 2 weeks and all he does in that time is cat nap and feed - spends more time feeding than sleeping. Hence the reason we have decided to introduce babyrice at 4m. Physically cannot keep going with him BFing that much with no sleep and DD and two horses to look after Last couple of nights have been better and he has been having proper naps in the day, which then makes him sleep better at night. I wonder how much of DD's easyness was to do with the fact she was on bottles of EBM and formula and never really had obvious growth spurts. Maybe it is the difference between boys and girls? Who knows....

Anyway, i rode this afternoon, decided to ice my biscuits when i got back only to find i had run out of baking parchment(which i needed for an icing bag) so left DH and the kids at home while i just popped into town (5min walk) only to find the kitchen shop was shut (despite being open all day every day usually) so ended up walking quite a bit further to Waitrose - knackered!

Ali - i am doing the same, have an enormous list of jobs around the house, ranging from cleaning the tv screen (!) to washing baby clothes, tis quite long!! I've got 15weeks supposedly, but from memory i won't be up to too much nearer the end so want to spend the next 5-ish weeks sorting the major stuff.

I had to go and have a half hour lie down, pulled a muscle or something in my bump, ouch. Was a nice half hour though :)

This DVD remote is proving v elusive !!

Feeling that last day of holidays feeling here. Though luckily DH has a few more days based at home whilst the boys go back, so hoping for some us-time :)

New idea for this years thank-yous; got DS1 to write 'to' & 'from DS1 xxx' at the top and bottom of a piece of paper which i have photocopied, then i'll get him to dictate something to each person and he can put last of Christmas stickers on them :)
DS2 can just be a polite '& thanks from DS2' written on the bottom, lol!

JKS - we have got that feeling too. It has been so nice having DH around, and DS has really thrived with loads of Daddy time rather than just knackered Mummy saying 'please don't jump on my tummy' all the time!
I must sleep more too - feel quite mentally refreshed especially as the situation with my brother and his DW is much better than it was (we were all at my parents together for a couple of days over Christmas) - but I am exhausted physically which isn't ideal at all.

Mini - I am smiling at you having done the curtains, because when I'm unmotivated the things that get done first are the ones involving shopping

The kitchen cupboards are done - hurrah! Have got rid of a whole binbag of stuff (some shockers at the back of the baking cupboard ) and re-organised massively. Has needed doing for about 18 months so v.pleased!

Afternoon

Have had a fairly productive couple of days. Got back yesterday and took down tree and other decs, stocked up at supermarket, bought new washing basket, moved sitting room furniture back to pre-tree places, unpacked everything , made dc's beds...

Then today I made the most of the dc being entertained by stuff they hadn't seen for 11 days and dyed my hair, did eyebrows, waxed bikini line, shaved legs etc Then took dc to a party before coming back and completely rearranging my bedroom. It looks much better this way but headboard is under window and against radiator so have had to turn radiator right down. Will see how it works out.

Tomorrow I need a proper cleaning list and thank you cards

Ali snap at shopping getting done first Have been looking for a table lamp and some photo frames rather than cleaning. Quite fancy a tiffany style lamp but will need to wait til my birthday because even the fakes are £££.

And nice 8 x 6" frames are hard to come by I'm finding so if anyone sees any please let me know!

TK Maxx always good for a try for frames.

Have backed up the photos on DH's pc!! I'm very excited!!! Thanks to MN-help they are transferring over to the Time Capsule without me having to do anything with silly USB sticks.

I suddenly feel incredibly pregnant. I have kept forgetting about it, but just in the last few days I feel slow and tired and bending over is becoming a major problem! I have also lost my sense of balance, nearly fell off a 2-step ladder today doing the cupboards

I still haven't done the kitchen floor. Please shout at me so that it gets done before I go to bed.
