Evening all
Feeling more in control tonight ( Linzer, Ellie, Swan I have been feeling like you for most of the week, but suddenly feel more inspired today, so it can change).
I have implemented a basic routine for weeks when I really CBA to do missions etc, it is a fortnightly cycle as follows:
Daily - 1 load washing, swish and swipe, keep kitchen ticking over, put clothes out.
Weekly - hoover downstairs, middles of rooms only, preferably twice. Clean bath and basin. 1/2 hour ironing. Change beds.
!st Week - clean kitchen and bathroom floors
2nd week - upstairs floors tidied and hoovered.
This is enough to keep the house presentable most of the time.
I don't always manage even this amount, but it is very flexible, and if you have a really bad week and miss it all you can just start again the next week.
Bob - so glad to hear DD is improving on your other thread.
PA - hope you are starting to regain strength.
Ellie - thinking of you tomorrow
MiniM - will have a think about your meal routine problem, but it is nearly 5 years ago for me so not sure. What I do remember is that I used to give DS his cooked meal at lunchtime, usually something reheated from the freezer, the same time as at nursery and we would eat ours when DH was at home, that doesn't sound like the solution for you though. DD used to BF for HOURS on end the first few weeks, it was hard, so I sympathise. Maybe you need to nudge littlest Marmite back a bit later for feeding? We definiteley ditched out of nightly baths for DS, they still only have them a couple of times a week unless especially dirty. I also remember that Sky+ was my best friend for keeping DS amused...
Linzer - glad you got your results back and that the derm is going to keep an eye on you, better safe than sorry.
Toffee - well done for looking after MIL, pat on the back!
Feetheart - hope funeral was comforting.
DID - hope you haven't collapsed into that puddle, thank you for keeping us all going on the thread.
Nettie - I should lend you DH, he wants to see Harry Potter and I don't.
Sylvia - sorry you haven't heard about the job, you never know, they could just be disorganised.
Took the engagement ring to be fixed today, quoted £150, very glad I found the stone or we'd have been in insurance claim territory. Feels very strange not having it, I always wear it normally (probably why the fittings got worn I suppose). Also received the first Christmas card (aargh!).
That's enough from me, need to go and do the kitchen and settle down for some zombies at 10 (The Walking Dead on FX, with Andrew Lincoln, anyone watching it?)
