JKS - I can't believe it's almost a year since DS2 had his op! What a difference this year from last? :)

I was thinking about your early christmas too JKS, it made me panic last year cos I wasn't at all organised!

Amother bit of my wisdom tooth is cutting through so I have a sore gum. Bloody thing has been coming through for 7 months now.

Was freezing after school run so have put heating on, slightly panicked about how I am going to pay for it...

Think I'll make some lunch and make a list and then blitz (and iron - I don't think there's any clothes left in the drawers.........it's in an enormous pile in the corner of this room.....)

And the kitchen is a mess, and the floors a mess, and the bathroom needs cleaning ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

There is such a huge difference with DS2, it's incomparable to last year really. He's still about an 18month old in how he thinks, so totally not interested in wrapped presents, or boxes of 'stuff', unlike DS1 who handily 'helps' him unwrap things, lol.
Need to chase GOSH for his one-year EEG to see how things are in that head of his :)

Have huge pile of clean & dry clothes, need to do something with them all!
Also need to have a shower later, hot water playing silly buggers and there was none for me this morning.

• clean kitchen cupboard doors
• set up Time Capsule with DH's laptop (next weekend)
• pictures to label 'animals' & 'people' & 'cars' boxes
• pile of blankets to homeless centre (some basic shopping first & go through bedding/towels too; Started)
• DS2's new DLA forms; ask on MN, get HV to help, questions for friend with NT 3yr old, etc.

Ahhh, broadband is on, only ten days late, well done BT another spectacular cock up on moving house!

I am NOWHERE NEAR the bauble stage yet, all you lot and your glorious shiny baubles in the making... I am very . Bit spartan here in our rental, no pictures up or anything (we would have to repair the holes, so hardly seems worth it). A christmas tree (small one only though) plus some nice lights and sparkly stuff will make a big difference.

Anyway, now I am back online, I can start up my list again!!! Yey.

Hi ImASlattern :) No news I don't think, comtessa keeps threatening to go into labour. Actually has she posted this morning?

Anon - we aren't really at bauble stage here either - fireplace needs to be fitted before we can do more than put the tree up and I've not had a call yet to say that the hearth and mantle have been delivered to our fitter. It will be done before Christmas, but atm I have visions of it being the 22nd December or something!!

It is fecking freezing here. I've turned the heating up some more . I am going to look online and see if I can find any maternity thermals anywhere!!

It's the ironing bit that's scaring me - it's fecking huge pile that's creeping across the room now. At least 2hrs worth I reckon - maybe a little bit less, maybe more.....

There is a chance I'll get most of it done before school pick=ups though as I don't have to pick DS2 up until 4.

Once I get all those clothes out of the corner it's already ggoing to look better

Mini - that is funny. As we've downsized our living, I really have to put everything away now, otherwise I walk through the front door and trip over it. And can I find stuff? Can I hell!!! This tidying up lark is all well and good but I can find bugger all! However, unlike the old house at least this one has cupboards and things aren't just stuffed/piled wherever, they do actually have a vaguely designated storage place....

I'm on my 2nd break from the ironing - about 2/3 of the way through now - just 2 basket fulls left to do (large baskets though).

I emptied one first of all, and then as I emptied it picked up more stuff off the floor and put it in - so bee working in "basketfuls" - not sure how many I've done - it's a LOT though.

Blimey what's with all this ironing you lot, are you trying to make some of us feel like slatterns

Anyone else's DC love Octonauts? DS is obsessed (things like we have to pretend to press the Octo-alert before we go out/go upstairs) so earlier I printed off some pictures from the Cbeebies website for him to colour. He has been carrying them around ALL day, we even had to take Captain Barnacles to the shops so that he could help us with our 'mission'.

Quite a successful trip out, although it took ages. DS slept in the buggy while we were in hobbycraft which was fab as I got to shop in peace. So so cold though, and one woman had a toddler about the age of DS with no coat and only a cotton jumper while she was swathed in cashmere with a Northface gillet thing on. Made me because the poor little mite looked freezing :(

Not sure how much more I will get done today, outing took a lot longer than I had planned.

JKS - has someone wired the timer wrong? Happened to my grandma recently, hot water and heating all back to front. What a PITA though when you just want to be warm and have warm water!
