New thread ladies Grin

Just going to put DS to bed and then I'll be back with my list.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/10/2010 19:15

Evening everyone :)

Been out most of today, feeling much better :)

Alice - that is crap of them not to reply to you. We all have nightmares with behaviour, anyone who tries to pretend they don't is lying I think. And even then, you don't make your friends feel bad about their children. I am Angry for you.

Freak - [hgrin] well resisted!

Hello LRB :)

Words - how inconvenient of him to die just now!

Vasting - hope you enjoy the theatre tonight!

Plum - do you get charged when they ring you?? Nightmare!

DS has only had a 20 minute nap today, so I'm going to get him into bed in a minute. DH has gone to collect a new roof for his car and won't be home for another hour or so.

I have cheated slightly on the getting ready for holiday. A lady is coming on Saturday to pick up all the ironing and deliver it back on Monday morning before we leave Blush I feel a bit lazy, but there is so much of it to do and I just cannot be arsed.

Right, must get DS into bed.

OP posts:
JustKeepSparkling · 28/10/2010 20:00

Blimey JKS - does the boy never sleep?! Definitely your turn for a lie in tomorrow :)

DS is in bed, kitchen is clear.

Bump is hurting a bit low down, am wondering if it's my c-section scar

I am going to start my packing lists and pre-holiday to-do list in a bit. :)

OP posts:
JustKeepSparkling · 28/10/2010 21:32

Ali - sadly although i woke first (as always), it was DH's turn to get up so i woke him, then managed a little more sleep until all 3 boys were making too much noise downstairs, grr.

Well if i am right he will sleep a little later tomorrow...!

I think bumps hurt regardless of scars, sure it's nothing to be paranoid about :)

Pumpkinbummum · 28/10/2010 22:29

Ali they are ringing my mobile nearly sure we both get charged, maybe wrong though

Alice that is crap hopefully it is just coincedence that they haven't text back, I know I have got really bad, if I got that text from a friend I would either text back right away OR think oh must ring Alice later and tell her not to worry and cheer her up AND then forget to do it until 3 days later[hblush]

Cake is safely delivered will try and get a pic up on profile but pic dosen't do it justice at all, they were thrilled with it

AliceandtheGinormousBaps · 29/10/2010 09:55

Morning [hsmile]

Ali i found i got more pains this time and i was worried about the cs scar, but i think that you just forget how pregnancy knackers your body [hwink]If you are worried, a quick chat with your mw may help?

Plum can't wait to see more cakes

The thing wth DD is quite long and complicated, but basically had a bit of bad behaviour from her recently, to be expected really with F being here, DH working loads etc, and one thing i have noticed is that some of her friends seem to make DD behave worse. Not their fault, just that DD gets overexcited by them and copies them, but takes it a step further iyswim? One friend that seems to bring the worst out in DD is a very good frind of mine's DD. The DD is lovely, but for whatever reason winds my DD up (too exciting maybe?) and then DD starts copying whatever this friend does (the friend is a year older) and doesn't realise the consequences iyswim? I'm afraid that i was getting a bit wound up by trying to get DD to do stuff (walk with me, stop by the road, listen to me etc) and this friend coming over and distracting her that when i told DD off i perhaps went too far and my friend kind of tried to keep her distance from us and didn't say bye where we normally go our different ways. I may be overreacting but it has upset me [hsad]

List will have to wait, F crying now - DD woke him up [hhmm]

vastingavay · 29/10/2010 10:05

Morning all.

Agree with Alice about the whole pregnancy-knackers-your-body aspect of things. Although thankfully don't have CS scar to worry about.

Hope you're feeling better soon Alice, as a first-timer I don't have experience of parenting yet but it sounds like you were just being reasonable in a difficult situation.

Easy list today Smile
Pack for weekend away
Call steam train company to book Sunday lunch (DH loves trains. And food. Perfect combination.)
Call MW to find out what should do if DC decides to make an appearance during weekend away...
Town - lampshades for hallway, collect DH's shoes, return key that STILL doesn't work (grrr)
Get nails done (am lady of leisure until DC1 arrives therefore might as well make the most of it Grin )
Meet friend for lunch
Come home, nap, meet DH at train station

Off to potter through list while awaiting workmen who are finishing off a few things in the house today.

Happy Friday all.

minimammoth · 29/10/2010 10:26

Words - are men allowed to go to Ikea on their own... don't they need some supervision? Although with my DH he is not safe to leave alone in homebaseGrin

Wasting Am thinking that the colouring in has to happen, also singing loud and maybe wearingball -gown--.

Steam train and lunch sounds fab comtessa

AliceandtheGinormousBaps · 29/10/2010 10:39

Don't forget your Tiara [hwink]

JustKeepSparkling · 29/10/2010 10:44

I fancy some proper colouring now! may persuade DS1 to join in (on his own page obv!) in a min.

I sometimes think the surgeons took out DS2's sleep button - have been tempted to ask them to put it back in....Grin

As for pg aches & pains, well my right hip has been aching since about week 5. now the top of my inside right leg (where it joins to my body iykwim?) is really sore too. looked up the structure of the pelvis earlier but no clearer which bit is hurting.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/10/2010 10:50

Ok my list now looks like this due to have keeled over upstairs just now. V.glad that DH is here.

Baby steps list done
Get up from sofa
Make DS some more toast
Play lego
Walk up the stairs and faint at the top Shock
Drink some water
Sit down

Baby steps list to-do
More sitting down
Clear up kitchen and run DW
Open parcels (all my new clothes, hope they fit!!)

Alice - I'm sure a lot of it is that I've forgotten what happened before, and I am so much more tired this time because of having DS to look after rather than sitting on my backside in the office all day.

Anon - have a lovely weekend :)

Vasting - enjoy your party! 3 nights out in a row!! [henvy]

Mini - we are going to the New Forest. It is a lovely hotel that we stayed at 2 years ago when DS was just 3 months old. They are v.welcoming to babies and children, but it is not a totally child-oriented place - a nice balance. Best thing is that it's only an hour from home, but feels like another world. We will leave home at 12ish on Monday, stop for lunch on the way and then be in the pool by 3pm. Can you tell I'm excited? [hgrin]

OP posts:
Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/10/2010 10:54

JKS - I've got an achey hip, and also an achey bum cheek at times Blush I am fairly sure it is all just pelvic girdle pain/SPD type things happening again - joy of joys. [hhmm]

PG slatterns, with aches ad pains, Might I suggest a little gentle pregnancy Yoga. I have run classes for pregnancy and it does help. there may be a class near you, it will help ease out stressed muscles. Or I could instruct on threadGrin
