Amazing happening re eyes. This morning my eyes look almost normal...saw doc. monday and she, at my request had found a different cream for me, it looks and behaves like lard, but no parabens, and my heart sank, I also decided to take things into my own hands and bought some calendula cream(nelsons)as I know its a good skin healer. am gobsmacked. Fingers crossed. I may be able to tear up dermatologist appointment.

Alice why do you have to make a crumble?? You have a newborn!!!! How old is DD? Does she go to nursery/preschool any time?

If F is asleep, you should sit down at the very least. When your friend comes, can she make the tea/let you stay put for a while?

JustKeepSwimming · 09/09/2010 11:16

Alice I am going to be stern. Grin If F is coming out of his sleepy newborn phase and getting more unsettled, then you must rest when you can and sod the cooking/baking and other general superwoman activities that you've been doing so well at these last couple of weeks. Concentrate on yourself, F and D and get a cleaner for a bit if you need to. (((hugs)))

JKS - Envy at pain au chocolat, may have to add some of those to the Ocado for tomorrow morning!!
Yesterday afternoon I ate a third of a baguette with butter Blush I am just so hungry all the time, and only carbs will do!

Hello stropicana - love the name!

I have a similar calendar to that, the Organised Mum one, and it is fab.

DONE
All up, showered and dressed
Wash new top that has strange chemical smell
Breakfast
Reading with DS

TO DO
Quick tidy round and take ironing pile upstairs
Hoover downstairs
Kitchen floor (DH is doing it, something has happened over by the bin, bleugh)
Wrap present and write card for friend's DD
Make sure I have my notes and blood form for scan
Lunch
Tidy up and clean kitchen
Monkey Music 1.25pm
Back here to drop DS with friend
Scan at 2.20pm with DH

anonymousbird · 09/09/2010 12:15

Alice - NO BAKING. And that is an order Angry

On the calendar front, I have my magic diary. It goes absolutely everywhere with me and is my life (plus my lists here).

If it isn't written in the diary, it doesn't happen. I used to write in school and nursery hours for every day, when they were all different, just as needed the constant reminder. Now school hours are fixed, five days I no longer have to, but every single other detail of our lives goes in it and I would be lost without it.... It is a bog standard two pages per week but it is a life saver. Even if I "teched up" (birthday soon - have "permission" to buy an Iphone from DH - Yey) I still don't actually imagine doing my diary electronically. Nothing quite like paper and pencil/eraser combo to keep us all in the right place at the right time!

Anyone here got an iPhone? Are they as good as they say?? Or is it all gizmo gadget talk and no trousers?

Don't tempt me with Ocado yummies, I am finalising my weekend food order later and all this talk of pain au chocolat is just tooooo good sounding.

JustKeepSwimming · 09/09/2010 12:49

I have an iPhone & love it! haven't moved from filofax to electronic calendar yet though i do mean to one day.

I have ditched my digi-camera as the camera is really good on the phone and i love playing with various apps on there.

Mini, sounds promising on the eyelid front.

Alice, may I offer the traditional MN suggestion for unsettled babies - have you got a sling?

I've got this one at the minute. It's very good, but DH never uses it, which was why I went for it rather than diary.

I love my calander I always manage to pick up a freebie from somehere which all seem to be like the organised mum one (without the stickers,
I have mine stuck on the side of the fridge so it is the first thing I see when I walk into the kitchen

JKS yes bay windows lovely but mine is being a pain mine has 4 bends in it so a man is coming out to measure up for a pole, as you can order online but they seem to be working out the same price only difference is, if I make a mess of the measurements my fault and money wasted, plus the man will fit it as well

Anyway
hoovered before school run
so now I need to put away all clean washing in lounge (today definitely before mondayBlush)
declutter kitchen work tops clean table
get dinner on
