Morning!! I'll second that, wasting, a very impressive "DONE" list.. you've set the standard there.

I'm all a jittery, after the first school run of the term. DD (4) was soooooo pleased to be in her classroom. DS similarly seemed pleased to be with his new teacher, so phew, big hurdle done. DH even hung around this morning for an extra half hour which was a big help!!

  • Dig up and sack up potatoes
  • Pick and store apples for winter
  • Courgette (Marrow!) soup to make and freeze
  • Buy son's birthday present and decide on food for his party on Sunday
  • Back up photos

Morning!

Have done the ironing! woo hoo! Has only been hanging over me for about a month Blush

This will make you laugh. Last night h phoned to pester me a bit more about getting back together and the deal of the day was... "We can go to ikea" HmmGrin

Such a nobber.

Anyway I was very harsh honest with him and said tbh I would rather do anything than have to spend that much time in your company, the thought of it makes me really uncomfortable and can you please stop bugging me. Then he said he was trying to show me he meant it and actions speak louder than words and I said you're right they do and the fact that you have decided you want to get back together and are now pressurising me and trying to grind me down into agreeing when I have already told you it's not going to happen speaks very loudly to me.

Quite proud of myself for being so assertive Grin

Quite a lot of stuff cluttering up house at the mo, need to deal with it all today really

JKS we have a farm shop not far from us that does it's own 'ready meals'. They are seriously good food, things like chicken and white wine casserole, moussaka, lasagne - all sorts. You could easily pass it off as homemade! Is there anywhere near you that does anything similar that you could go and get?

Freaky - well done! Hopefully he will get the message.

I have ground to a bit of a halt, must get on.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 08/09/2010 11:34

Trying to sort my life out
I want to do this course but it is hugely expensive and I can't really justify begging/borrowing the money when I don't even know what I want to do with it once I've done it! I wish I was career minded or even just had an idea of what I wanted to do Sad

minimammoth · 08/09/2010 13:51

freaki. The course looks really interesting, but also looks as if it is a step or a part towards a qualification. Do you already have a qualification to add it to? are there any schemes which will help you withthe costs. My DH just had the local council contribute 75% to some training, through some scheme or other.

Yes mini that's the problem really, I had considered the advanced diploma a while ago but they won't be running that now and none of the other actual qualifications particularly grab me. Wouldn't get any help because I already have a degree, unless I had an employer which required me to do that course (which I don't).

It's very hard to sort yourself out when you don't know what you want to do...

JKS would you decant the ready meal or fess up??

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 08/09/2010 14:47

Waitrose do very nice lamb shanks as a ready meal, and lovely creamy mashed potato. Everyone like lamb shanks Grin

Right I need to wash my hair so that I can go out and run my errands while DS is still asleep.

minimammoth · 08/09/2010 14:50

Freak (agony aunt head on)what you you absolutely love to do, that would make your heart sing.(other than have dcs of course, cos they do go one day) Not what you feel you should do or that others are telling you you aught to.

JKS - I'm sure you would Wink I would too, no shame in nice ready meals from Waitrose Grin

I have my scan tomorrow! Appointment came through in the post today but for next week when I'm going to be down at my parents. So I rang and they said could I go tomorrow. So - eek! - that was quick. Bit scared now incase there is anything wrong, although I swear I can feel the baby moving and the size of my stomach suggests that nothing whatever is the matter! Grin
