minimammoth they are going in a hessian bag.. make sure none are damaged as that will affect the others, make sure completely dried out (several days or even a week or two for this stage), carefully take the tops off and pop in net/string/airy bag of some description and keep in a cool dry place. Should last you for ages. I am too lazy to string them up! Check the bag carefully from time to time to ensure none are going off.. remove them if showing signs and get those ones used.

I am bagging my shallots today, onions out for drying for a few days, then they will be bagged too....

wastingaway · 03/08/2010 11:10

Morning!

I'm feeling better today. I seem to have gone off drinking the last few days, so I'm having to make myself.

Getting stressed about the weekend, but the best way to counter that is to get things done off the list!

Mini, can you get hold of cedarwood items? They're supposed to send the moths scurrying.

Sympathies kansasmum.
Thanks for the tips anonybird will dry them out a bit longer only pulled yesterday.
Wasting I have got cedar balls, hanger things and smelly paper sheets. Have put the cedar balls amongst stuff in the bookcase whcih might be why they are clear now, so will dot some around area in bedroom. I have also discovered that Tansy flowers repel flies and moths, so I have brought in a 'bouquet'from the garden to test it out. Might put some in bedroom.

Wasting now about those baby bel cases, c'mon prod prod.
JKS good luck with shower.am impressed with Viakal after toilet grime last week.

OP posts:
PlumBumMum · 03/08/2010 20:15

JKS there is I had a good housekeeping calander (a present from aussie friends, every christmass is an odd surprise) and remember reading something about it, bet you Martha will have an answer

Well I have got loads done today but don't think much was actually on my list

all ironing is done
hoovering
shower doors clean (flash does my job)
dcs beds done

AND I went to doctors and seen nurse,
she did going to do full bloods, the words early & menopause were used in the same sentence, but tbh she didn't ask me was I sure I wasn't pg or had I tested so I will just wait for Thursday/Friday for results, had slight stain last night(TMI) but nothing sense

Freak who are you going to wedding with???? Where are dcs going to be? new undies [nudge][nudge]

MarthaSlatternStewart · 03/08/2010 20:20

JKS I hear you needed some advice

MarthaSlatternStewart · 03/08/2010 20:23

Oh I just remembered you can get a tub of this abrasive cream stuff for cleaning ovens, tiles etfc and I have used that on my chower doors too

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/08/2010 20:56

Freak - I am mainly although the lower carb dinner routine has stuck because DH is still low-carbing (apart from tonight when we have had Dominos ). I definitely still eat loads less carbs than I did before though, scales are still heading downwards slowly slowly, 15.5lbs lost now.
And yes - new undies??

JKS - that sounds like a fab day I think my shower screen is a lost cause too, I have tried everything. We have got such hard water here it is crazy, we installed a filter in the kitchen sink when we had the new kitchen a couple of years ago because otherwise we were having to descale the kettle twice a week. I would love a new shower screen but it is curved to fit our bulgy bath and a new one is ££££ and there are too many other things ahead of that in the money queue just now! I use Cif Active Bathroom Spray twice a week and e-cloth every time I'm in the shower which does keep it ok-ish.

Plum - I didn't realise you hadn't done a PG test!

anonymousbird - that cold wine sounds good

Wasting you are moany but that is allowed, especially seeing as you are poorly. Can you have an early night?

Mini - I am jealous, all our tomatoes are resolutely green. We will have none left to go red though, DS keeps picking them and having a hopeful nibble

DS is still awake He fell and banged his head on a side table earlier, he's going to have a cracking egg and bruise in the morning. He has also got a really gunky eye and is very grumpy, Drs tomorrow I think. He really needs to be asleep but is looking at pictures of cars on DH's laptop with DH

DONE
All up
Breakfast
Clear up
Unload dishwasher
Get showered and dressed
DH into the office
Tidy upstairs and make beds
Put away pile of clean clothes and nappies
Hang nappies out
Tidy downstairs
Dust and hoover downstairs
Sweep and mop kitchen
Decide what we're having for dinner
Lunch
Clear up
Park with friends
Mothercare
Back here for a cuppa?
DS nap
Me sit down
