I’ve seen this table on FB marketplace. It’s over £1200 new but they’re selling for £300.

what’s your opinion on it? Would it be easy to maintain etc?

Is it marble?

What kind of chairs would you pair with it?

Soontobe60 · 06/12/2025 19:31

If you live in a huge house it might look ok. It’s pretty hideous though.

Getoffofmyland · 06/12/2025 19:31

Too ostentatious for me.. 🙄

Checknotmymate · 06/12/2025 19:31

Have you got young DC? Because that table screams head injuries and sticky fingerprints.

It's a bit footballers wives for me but if you like it and you are a fan of a&e then go for it.

Newmeagain · 06/12/2025 19:32

Nooooo !

DeedlessIndeed · 06/12/2025 19:33

Looks really cheap, sorry OP.

However, I think you could make it work with the right styling - like an eclectic vibe perhaps?

I wouldn't fancy having to wipe finger prints off of the legs every 3 minutes, but you might not have an 18 month old!

phantomofthepopera · 06/12/2025 19:37

It’s hideously tacky. It looks like it’s from Taskers, which is basically B&M but ten times the price.

ArtTheClownIsNotAMime · 06/12/2025 19:39

It's horrible.

Haha exactly this.

letshavetea · 06/12/2025 19:40

Awful - tacky. Sorry. Go for something plain and stylish.

andanotherproblem · 06/12/2025 19:44

I like it, if the room is decorated a certain way it could look really nice, my thoughts would be navy/dark blue or dark or emerald green, chandelier, mirrors, candle holders etc I’ll see if I can find inspiration pics

Mumblechum0 · 06/12/2025 19:47

Not nice at all.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 06/12/2025 19:49

Forget what it cost new because if you are thinking 'Wow, I'm making a huge saving here' then you are not. It is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. You are not saving £900, you are spending £300.

If it was worth £1,200 new, why would they be they selling at a 75% discount? There has to be a reason, doesn't there? Hmm???

rainbowsinheaven · 06/12/2025 19:50

Awful

MiddleAgedDread · 06/12/2025 19:51

Ewww nasty
would £300 to not have it in my house!

susiedaisy1912 · 06/12/2025 19:53

Good lord thats dreadful. Please don’t spend £300 on that monstrosity

Twattergy · 06/12/2025 19:53

Nasty, sorry.

PInkyStarfish · 06/12/2025 19:55

Looks like the typical scam photo.

PInkyStarfish · 06/12/2025 19:56

It reminds me of something you’d see in a static caravan

PInkyStarfish · 06/12/2025 20:01

Op, at this time of year the scammers pay these pictures of bling type furniture to lure in people wanting new stuff for Christmas. They use stolen photos. Don’t be taken in.

CrownCoats · 06/12/2025 20:05

Absolutely revolting.

OldBeyondMyYears · 06/12/2025 20:12

Nope!! Unless you’re a WAG!

BonBonBoo · 06/12/2025 22:27

Yeah it’s genuine marble. I don’t think it’s scam - she posted a photo of it in her house and the profile has a mutual friend

It think it’s the nastiest item of furniture I’ve ever seen, or close to it.
