What colour would you paint this front door?

So dark grey Downpipe ish windows (no judgement please they are 12 years old) with new wooden door.

Thinking dark orange?

Not pink or mustard.

Northfacing…sorry bad photos, drive has been done with small flat cobble style stones since.

And omg please tell me the paceman is a new second hand 🤣 I will be very pleased if it went to an MN home who also likes colour

@OwlBasket I adore your interest thank you! In particular re the planting arrangements around the door. Yes the door is “grand” but I hadn’t considered that the pots weren’t in the right position. Even more to think about 😩😂

The whole frontage is a third more to the right (from looking at the house) and solidly built in the 60s/70s in a slight Georgian style.

The round window is still white because the original 60s one was metal, single paned, draughty as fuck, so the new front door and round window has been replaced by probably the best carpenter in the Midlands. It will get painted too in due course - will be dark grey to match existing.

I recently sold my beloved 🤣 Not many have that finish (silver with the black alloys) and it’s a small run of that make.

I really like the sound of deep purple ir alternatively a pastel pink, mint or yellow.

The deep purple above would look good with your window frames, but I'd be equally tempted by a smoky blue-grey (which would also work well with window frames.)

I let the kids pick and ended up with a very bright reddish orange (valspar steelhead red) I was a bit worried about it but now I love it and it’s always easy to explain to people which is our house!

I don’t fancy a strong colour with white walls.
i would do a pale blue door (not baby blue but teally or greyish with a slightly darker surround and wavy bit on the roof

Whatever colour you choose get a flower that blooms in the same colour to grow in pots or climb around the door.
An orange climbing rose perhaps ?

Black for me too. Sage green is wishy washy for a front door and will copy your neighbour. Move the planters into tall ones, off the steps, and move the house number to be a bold chrome one on the door itself. Stunning entrance.

Mine is green blue by F&B and has been for 15 years . House is off-white. Get so many compliments and have even had someone knock on my door to ask the shade but in the last 5 years there are so many more doors in similar shades that we are going to go for a change .

Aha now that puts a different spin on it. Given the black boarding( forgotten the name of it- meno brain) I think a black door would be good and burnt orange mailbox.

It’s a lovely porch . I understood why you want to make a feature of it. Get a lovely knocker too. Some really quirky ones about.
