So dark grey Downpipe ish windows (no judgement please they are 12 years old) with new wooden door.

Thinking dark orange?

Not pink or mustard.

Northfacing…sorry bad photos, drive has been done with small flat cobble style stones since.

Inspo needed!

Paint house green and door orange.

OurPebble · 28/04/2024 19:35

Farrow & Ball Dutch Orange

Sandalwoodrose · 28/04/2024 19:36

A house I saw with similar colouring to yours had a pale blue door. Looked lovely.

Classic black, or postbox red, or racing green would also look lovely if it's a classic colour.

Finally, if you really wanted to be standout, I'd go lilac. (not mauve or aubergine). It's the new "pink door"Smile

F&B Red Earth

Some sort of burgundy / maroon colour would tone in with the paving nicely, they've got a nice pinky tone.

What @OwlBasket said.

Black, orange or Aubergine. Big planters and plants. Statement entrance, taller plants though.

I love that purple.

mustwashmycurtains · 28/04/2024 20:29

mucky pale blue. with some orange plants. (love the idea of orange door but doesn't feel like it suits the house. ditto the aubergine)

Susanlincs · 29/04/2024 10:46

I would go a sage green or if not a dark burgundy 😀

Amazing! I'm even more confused now! I am going to try and post a better photo showing the whole house front but I need to move the cars...

sage green, black or purple.

WildCherryBlossom · 29/04/2024 17:02

I think F&B Cinder Rose pink would look great with your black window frames. Might be tempted to paint the house grey and add more greenery in front too.

LifeExperience · 29/04/2024 18:17

British racing green

DrJoanAllenby · 29/04/2024 18:35

Not safe! It's so insipid and common.

What about a dark teal?

DrJoanAllenby · 29/04/2024 18:36

Not sage ^

Fluffywigg · 29/04/2024 18:38

Gray I mean grey 🥴

(Just kidding)

something pale/pastle. Sage green

MadKittenWoman · 29/04/2024 18:58

MyNewNewlife · 28/04/2024 19:21

Duck egg blue

This, like mine!

Or, black or dark green. I think bright, edgy colours look stupid; sorry.

PaintMyDoor · 29/04/2024 19:11

Oh my so many options!

We (me and DH) are anal when it comes to colours and are usually very confident in our choices but for some reason the outdoors feels so open to opinion or judgement. I know we shouldn’t care about that btw! Equally though I don’t want to compromise on what feels right for us.

I know it’s only a feckin door that can be repainted. But it’s actually a new solid wood bespoke door to fit with the original one that the house would’ve come with and I want to get it right. Lost my confidence with colour!

Repainting the house or window frames aren’t viable options £££ sadly.

Going to post a photo tomorrow of the entire front as we will have moved the cars.

Interested to see the full frontage! If it’s a dry day could you maybe wet some of the cobbles so we can see how the colour changes?

Is there a reason why the round window is white whilst the others are grey? I think it would be much better the same colour as the others, looks somewhat unbalanced atm. That, and moving the pots/planting to emphasise the breadth of the entrance would help massively. It’s an unusual and very pleasant frontage, really like the composition

Gymnoob · 29/04/2024 19:25

F&B Arsenic or whirlybird

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 29/04/2024 19:25

Just painted over my vibrant orange door. It was good fun, it looked like it was waiting for an emergency all the time.

Previously it was yellow, nah, not a good colour.

Before that is was mid mucky mauve, great, I loved it and it never looked like it wanted to be in an emergency. It was rather calming.

Currently on grey undercoat (which the neighbour loves) while we argue about the right blue/green shade.

OwlBasket · 29/04/2024 19:26

Outside is tricky! You’ve not only got the variance in light but also the changes in the colours of the surroundings with weather and season. Gives me the Faffs too
