Choose my front door colour

Can anyone suggest a colour for my front door? Have talked dp round into is getting a timber front door instead of composite so I can have it painted any colour. I am normally ok with things like this but I really can't decide.
The house is a little 300 year old cottage by the sea. The exterior paintwork is off white and windows / gutters and pipes are all white. Two small facia boards and log store at front all dark grey. Lots of people round us have sage green or dark grey but I want something a bit different. I was thinking pink but not sure I am brave enough. Any suggestions or photos of yours would be great.

There is a house on the way to work I pass, a gorgeous cottage, with a blush pink door, it's beautiful. Personally I love sage green and have it on my own house, but I seem to have started a trend as a few of my neighbours have it too.

I think a raspberry pink could be lovely.

Mine is light blue, matches the picket fence just in front of the garden.

This would be nice as well. I'm thinking of painting my hallway raspberry pink, but worried it might be a bit overwhelming.

You aren’t in any kind of conservation area are you? There is a woman in Scotland (I think) that has got into all sorts of trouble for painting her door pink.

Ours is only 160 ish years old but we have a black front door and sage green back door. The old washroom doors are purple.

Our neighbour has painted their door cornflower blue (similar to Chasing it looks really good.

Thanks everyone, I am being drawn even more to pink but maybe a pale blue? Sat with some paint charts pondering and not sure if dp will go for pink!

I painted my front door in Rangwali (Farrow & Ball colour matched). It’s a proper pink, but not super bright, so may be worth having a look at.

From your description though, I think some kind of blue would also be worth considering.

I went for Frenchic Salt of the earth and it looks lovely.

Pale pink looks nice too.

Or cornflower blue?

Yellow or some kind of aqua, I think it depends on the shape/style of the door and how many/what type of windows you have.

@TheFairyCaravan thank you, that colour is lovely and definitely one to consider. @chillinwithmygnomies I love the raspberry pink and wish I was brave enough. All our neighbours have quite muted colours and I think we would be the talk of the village if we went that bright.

I quite like this. We have slate step and dark strip at the bottom of the house like the picture and have a clematis growing up too. Does anyone know a pink paint colour similar to this?

Here's the Edinburgh pink front door lady. I think they have an agreement now and her door is very pale pink, almost white.

That looks like it has been chosen to match the clematis , what colour is yours ?

Everyone except me in our street has black or F&B grey or pale greyish blue/green. Boring!

I've only had positive comments about my emerald green door, but maybe everyone is just being terribly British and polite.....

One day I will have a yellow front door with stained glass and a big gold doorknob. I will know I've made it 🤣💛

Mine is coral coloured, I love colourful front doors they make the house look so much more inviting than grey/brown/white ines

25 years ago we moved into a house with a sunflower yellow door. We declared it the first thing to go. 25 years later and we are directing visitors with "we're the house with the bright yellow door". Hard to miss and v cheery!
