Choose my front door colour

Can anyone suggest a colour for my front door? Have talked dp round into is getting a timber front door instead of composite so I can have it painted any colour. I am normally ok with things like this but I really can't decide.
The house is a little 300 year old cottage by the sea. The exterior paintwork is off white and windows / gutters and pipes are all white. Two small facia boards and log store at front all dark grey. Lots of people round us have sage green or dark grey but I want something a bit different. I was thinking pink but not sure I am brave enough. Any suggestions or photos of yours would be great.

Just to say, don't forget that if you're painting, then choose whatever colour you want. If you don't like it, then you can paint it a different colour.

Ours is blue and now I want it pink! We live in an old post office so I feel like I ought to paint it pillar box red

Definitely pink. There's a house in the next street to me with a lovely dusky pink door and every time I pass it I think 'I'd love to have a pink front door!'

Literally any colour apart from dark grey. Please!!

I genuinely cannot understand the current fad for this depressing wheelie-bin grey colour on woodwork and doors everywhere. It is truly horrid.

I love a pink door!

The front door of our 400 year old converted mill was F&B Rangwali till March when I repainted it in the slightly boring Little Greene Silt to match our windows.

Previously we've painted front doors of two period houses in F&B Green Smoke which is also lovely and another in LG Pale Lupin.

Mine is Babouche by farrow and ball (yellow), I love yellow front doors. I think the front door should always be a strong colour rather than a pastel colour which is better for walls

As you're by the sea I think pale blue would be nice. I've always dreamed of having a house by the sea with coastal decor.

Mine is a lovely shiny dark grey, with a silver bee door knocker and chrome letterbox and door handle. I love it!!

Mine is turquoise, I love it. I don't like the rest of the house but I like the colour of the front door Grin
We live on a new-ish housing estate so everyone's front doors are mostly grey/ green/ white and we are the only turquoise!

Not blue, please.

Very dark aubergine or a nice raspberry, would be nice.

Though I'd go for sage green or grey-green myself.

@LibertyLily I'm loving that Rangwali colour, just going down an internet wormhole looking at images of it, might have to find a room to repaint.....

I’d go for a dusky pink, or maybe even a greyish lilac, which would be unusual. If you felt the need to play it safer, plum or damson colour.

I don't but I've discovered our local B&Q has a Valspar paint mixing station and they say they can match any colour!

Mine is a similar colour, it’s French Chic Dusky Pink and has lasted well. French chic paint is super as its idiot proof and hardly any prep needed

I’d love an emerald green door. Mine is a forest green but certainly beats the horrible white UPVC thing we had in our old house.
Love the idea of turquoise or raspberry for a cottage by the sea.

I suggested a pink door which has sparked a tea time debate. DD has said blue because it’s the only colour she knows. DS is adamant it should be orange with blue spots. This won’t be solved quickly
