Looking for a picture to go on a plain white wall above my bed. I have a grey/pinky sort of theme and on the wall opposite is a Steven brown canvas or rainbow colours with trees.

And also, why ask us? It's your wall.

pictoosh · 08/04/2023 17:59

The hearts make it a bit 'live laugh love' for my taste. Are you glad you asked?
I'm not being rude but art is SO subjective. Other people's opinions don't count for anything.

ColdHandsHotHead · 11/04/2023 20:13

Be very careful how you fix it to the wall if it's going above your bed. It needs to be screwed into the wall.

Fillmyheartwithsong · 11/04/2023 20:21

I really like it, probably more appreciated by the spiritual folks amongst us.

MedievalMadness · 02/05/2023 06:30

It shouldn’t matter what anyone else thinks apart from whoever sleeps in that room. You like what you like. I’m not keen on many things I see on other peoples walls, and no doubt many will feel the same about what I have on mine. As Marie Kondo says if it sparks joy, get it and enjoy it.

ImSoShiney · 02/05/2023 06:34

JL has a lovely abstract tree In pinky tones on their website that I much prefer

ImSoShiney · 02/05/2023 06:36

No ignore me, it's green. I must have been half asleep when I was looking yesterday......

HauntedLady · 02/05/2023 06:42

Personally I think it would suit a house with crushed velvet furniture, Willow Tree ornaments and “Live, Laugh, Love” decals. Art is entirely personal though, whatever you post there will be people who don’t like it. If you would see it on your wall and enjoy it being there than absolutely go for it.

Whichnumbers · 02/05/2023 07:02

I think

its a happy picture to wake up to

it’d look nice on a white background

more suited for a child or young teen imo

I prefer the tree of happiness Here

but art is very personal

I think it's up to you. It's your room. Personally I think it would better in a child's room and the fact that it's mass produced and so many people have it, would put me off.

Brumbies · 02/05/2023 07:23

I don't like it, it's not expressing anything and I think art should.

FixItDuck · 02/05/2023 07:27

It’s not my style but if you love it, go for it. Art is so personal- I would follow your heart and not worry about other people’s views. Only question is whether you like it- don’t try to pick something based on what you think other people will think.

dudsville · 02/05/2023 07:28

I think both of them would go nicely with your colour scheme.

FourChimneys · 02/05/2023 07:31

If you like it then get it. It's your bedroom and you will presumably see it more than anyone else.

Art is too subjective to ask anyone else. I'm sure not everyone would like what we have on our walls but it suits us.

crimsonlake · 02/05/2023 07:48

Agree I dislike mass produced art, but if it is your thing...
Have you thought about finding out when any local art classes hold exhibitions, you could purchase something truly unique then?

FabFitFifties · 02/05/2023 07:49

I have this above my bed. I tend to look for posters and have them framed or mounted like this one. It's good for picking out colours on different bedding. But art is very personal as PP said. If you like cutsey, do cutsey.

What do you think of this picture.
PortiasBiscuit · 02/05/2023 08:05

I’d put it in the room of a little girl, not an adult space picture.

Namethischange · 02/05/2023 08:46

You can get beautiful original artwork from British artists for that price or less. I can think of 3 whose work I love and, looking at your choice, I think you might too - Julie Vatcher, Chris Schneider and Samantha Butcher - they all take commissions. Just a thought but worth considering an original, your own original art work, when prints are that price.

User6589310 · 02/05/2023 09:47

Desenio- you can make you r own cheaper by buying a print and a frame.

LaLaLaNotListeningNotListening · 02/05/2023 10:20

I think anything heart themed is a bit more suited to teens tbh but it’s nice and colourful.

FayCarew · 02/05/2023 10:38

Don't put a picture above your bed - it's bad feng shui or something.

Pluvia · 02/05/2023 10:40

For that sort of money you could pick up an original watercolour from a gallery or buy something from an auction. It would be original and you would be helping to support a local artist.

What you've linked to is gift-shop art. When I see that sort of thing on peoples' walls I know they're decorators, not people who like art.

You did ask what we thought.

Itwasnaeme · 02/05/2023 11:34

You're the one who has to look at it Op. Choose something that gives you a food feeling when you look at it.

Choconut · 02/05/2023 11:47

It made me smile, I like the colours. It doesn't make me think Live, Laugh, Love tweeness, although as see as soon as one person says it lots of others jump on!

speakout · 02/05/2023 12:04

Reinventinganna · 08/04/2023 17:57

It looks like it would go well with a live laugh love sign.

My thoughts too.

I couldn't live with that picture. But that's OK.

OP if you like it then great- you do you.

No matter which picture you post you will get a range of answers. Some of us will love it, some of us will hate it.

If you like it OP then why care what a bunch of randomers think. Our opinon really doesn't matter.
