I'm planning the refurbishment of the main bathroom. White tiles, vanity unit and this patterned vinyl.

Would have a plain yellow or blue blind at the window.
Most of the house is white with blue, yellow, orange or turquoise as accent colours.

Thank you.

I’m sorry I don’t really like it op . I think it looks quite cheap, which it is. If money is tight I’d go for something plain, and accept in the rest of the room.

FieldOverFence · 28/05/2021 19:32

I quite like that, especially if the bathroom isn't huge. If it was a really big bathroom I wonder could you have that as a kind of border around the edges and plainer in the middle

MustardRose · 28/05/2021 19:32

I like it.

mamacoast · 28/05/2021 19:43

Thanks for the feedback. I've had so many samples. I want to put the pattern on the floor. It isn't a massive room and I'm not on a tight budget.

Any other suggestions, please?

Many thanks for your time.

Awful

PixieDust28 · 29/05/2021 05:42

I don't like the colours. If it was black and grey I think it would be much different.

Funnily enough I play a design game and I just won that very pattern and though, well that won't be used.

PixieDust28 · 29/05/2021 05:43

AlmostSummer21 · 29/05/2021 05:52

Personally I dislike yellow & wouldn't put it on a bathroom floor. Do you like the green in the same range? I prefer the grey but I'm guessing you wouldn't. The Moroccan range is nice too.

But essentially there's nothing wrong with it, if you like it, but if you're planning on selling I'd go for one without the yellow.

Losttheequipment · 29/05/2021 06:03

It’s very busy. I would go for something more one colour but that looks textured. Or, if you want pattern something with more muted colours along these lines

Those actual products may not be suitable for bathrooms, but just as an idea of the kind of thing that might work

CliftonGreenYork · 29/05/2021 06:16

I love it.

mamacoast · 29/05/2021 06:41

@AlmostSummer21 - not planning on selling. Have ordered the grey sample now. Thank you for the suggestion.

@Losttheequipment, I love the first image - the stick on tiles. Now looking for similar in sheet vinyl. Thank you.

Bright and clean and a change from the drab and plain

mamacoast · 29/05/2021 06:49

@Bluntness100, the rest of the room will be white. Planning to put the colour/interest into the space via the blind and floor. What are your design thoughts? TIA.

Thank you everybody - decision deadline is getting closer and want to love the end result.

HopeValley · 29/05/2021 06:50

I like it but can you not get something similar in a proper tile? Feels much more upmarket to me.

mamacoast · 29/05/2021 06:54

@cupoftea2021, I'm looking for an end result that brings us joy and fits in with the rest of the house/continuation of our colours. Our main fixtures and fittings are neutral and we've got colour and pattern in accessories and home furnishings.

Not a fan of the all grey house.

mamacoast · 29/05/2021 06:55

@HopeValley - good point. I'll investigate.

Bluntness100 · 29/05/2021 07:56

Honestly I’d put colour in with the blind and towels. I’d go for something much more neutral on the floor.

I've ordered a few more samples, including this.

Thoughts ? Thank you.

Well some people will love it and some will hate it, so you'll get a range of views and be no further on in your decision making. Go with what brings you joy. You said it's a small room, so you can easily change it if you don't like it. Look on Pinterest if you haven't already. Patterned bathroom floors are very popular currently, so you won't be stuck for choice.

Bluesheep8 · 29/05/2021 08:16

I don't like either of them op, sorry they're just too bright and busy. I'm probably the wrong person to ask though as I like bathrooms to be plain and simple with colour added with towels and accessories.

mamacoast · 29/05/2021 08:21

It's only lino though - easily and cheaply changed if you get bored. I think it will look lovely OP, very fresh with white your white suite and units. Vinyl has been a revelation on my bathroom floor; would never go back to tiles now, certainly not without underfloor heating which I don't have.
