Looking for a pale pink colour for kitchen/dining room. Not a little child's bedroom colour if you know what I mean. A pale/dusky pink. Any ideas?

Farrow and Ball Calamine. I've just done my living room with it and it's exactly what you describe. I had it colour matched in B&Q.

mambojambo · 08/02/2021 09:09

I used F&B ‘Setting Plaster’ although it’s maybe darker than you’d like, so check out Pink Ground as well.

So did you actually use a different make in the end that was the same colour as F and B Calamine?

F & B Cinder Rose is gorgeous, very dusky.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 08/02/2021 09:14

Valspar have a lot of very nice dusky pinks.

TLIMSISNW · 08/02/2021 09:14

F&B Sulking Room Pink and Frenchic Dusky Blush look nice.

I've ordered a sample of Pegnoir F and B but now I'm looking at reviews and it says it can look almost lilac.

I have F&B Pink Ground in a few room. It’s a lovely warm pink which is surprisingly versatile. You don’t mention what colour your kitchen is, but I think it looks especially stunning next to cream kitchen units.

Dulux blush noisette or oyster cove, different shades in both of them

I always come on here and shout F&B Pink Ground. It is gorgeous. Teen DD has it in her bedroom and I would love it one of my downstairs rooms in the house.

Incyra · 08/02/2021 09:50

2 people for Pink ground. May have to get a sample for that too.

Peignoir is very lilac. I'd suggest Calamine

Ah, that's my worry. I love the look of it in the pictures.

Crown ballet shoes is lovely.

Bluesheep8 · 08/02/2021 10:29

Yes, I loved the look of it too and thought it'd be a kind of almost dirty/faded/greyish pink. I painted a sheet of paper and moved it around the house and all I got was lilac, in any light.

Thats a shame. Not keen on lilac at all.

A pink selection,,,

I have Peignoir in the bedroom which is north facing. I don’t find it lilac at all (I hate lilac!), it’s more of a pink/grey. I love it.

Have you got a picture? Even if you send me in a private message. Only if you feel comfortable to.

OP, yes I got Valspar premium emulsion colour matched to F&B. To my eye it was exactly the same as the F&B test pot that I'd painted on. I painted a piece of card with the test pot paint and they scanned that at the Valspar counter to match it. It was lovely paint too.
