Looking for a pale pink colour for kitchen/dining room. Not a little child's bedroom colour if you know what I mean. A pale/dusky pink. Any ideas?

@Tightwad2020

Pinks I have used recently: Dulux Blush in an east facing bathroom with large stone/beige tiles.

I tried F&.B Pink Ground in that space, and it looked like germolene. But I am currently using this colour in a cupboard, and it looks much fresher.

I am interested in Little Greene's China Clay Mid and Deep for a north facing room, will be trying them out for panelling and woodwork. I want something that looks like an Edwardian bohemian drawing room - a little bit shabby, posh, arty vibe. These are muddy pinks, I thinks.

I had high hopes of F&B Peignoir, but yeah, very lilac. I want something shading towards beige, so a bit more yellow, something warm, not grey or lilac.

Watching this thread with interest!

The Peignoir sample looks pink on the wall with the windows and a clay colour on another and mauvey on another. I think we will paint just the wall which has the windows on with the Peignoir and nice fresh cream on the other.

So now I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of a cream colour that would work well with Peignoir. I'm looking for a slightly cheaper brand for the cream colour.

Here's my F&B Calamine south facing living room. We did 2 coats. I'm really happy with it.

The Calamine looks lovely there, Queen.

OP, don't know how it pairs with Peignoir, but I have been very happy with Fired Earth's Oyster tint, mixed into a Johnson base, for a cream colour. It's not a yellowy cream. It combines well with the blush pink that I used. in the bathroom, with pale green and with white walls. I've used it on woodwork (doors, skirting, windows) everywhere, rather than on walls, though, so don't know how it works as an emulsion.

I’ve used Graham and Brown muted blush. It went on very pink and I was worried but dried to a lovely soft pink.

QueenOfToast · 11/02/2021 12:03

@Incyra Yes, we did all the walls calamine, ceilings and woodwork are white. It's a very bright room with lots of windows. I've attached another view of a darker corner.

Something like Dulux Jasmine White looks like it would go with Peignoir

We used Peignoir in our old house, in a south facing room and I found it gorgeous, not lilac at all. Had in on 3 walls with a wallpaper on the 4th as was my daughters room and that’s what she chose. Really lovely colour, I’d use it again.

I have just painted my hallway in peignoir and don't find it lilac, it is pinky grey but lovely and bright. We did try a test pot of calamine but it was too pink for what I was after but very nice.
