Omg my brother used to rave about Orangina! By the time it was in the UK and we were adults... Bit shit really!

Whereas those long strips of sweets were always good for gifts / keeping!

I genuinely think that the formulation of Orangina has changed so much over the years. It has nothing of the zesty fruity gorgeousness of my childhood.

current faves are horchata and fartons and perfectly cooked bacalao.

Soumatha, a Greek almond drink - am also partial to mastika in liqueur form, although it's definitely an acquired taste (made from pine resin). There's a kind of soft scoop version they sell in supermarkets there which they sometimes have on a spoon in cocktails which I also love.

Ooh I love Soumatha, like liquid marzipan!
