Barbados vs Cornwall

We want to go away for a week in June. Have added up the costs of various holiday destinations.

Found some really cheap flights to Barbados that work (£300!). Travel for us to get to Cornwall would be about £300 each too.

A nice cottage in Cornwall is about £1200 for a week, and we have found something similar in Barbados for £1300.

So what would you do? June is not ideal for Barbados but then equally it could pish down all week in Cornwall.

Barbados in June is the beginning of the rainy season. Might get lucky / might not ! Food shopping in Barbados is expensive and eating out can also be expensive - more so than UK so living expenses will be more than in UK

But it’s not constant rain even in the middle of hurricane season. You’re guaranteed better weather in Barbados than Cornwall, that’s for sure!

Barbados - we Antigua in July once- a bit weird as lots of it was rather dead which doesn’t feel very holiday ish and it did rain every day at lunch but only for around an hour - the plus side was it was affordable , which it isn’t in say February
