husband wanted holiday so he can proceed to sunbathe all day (it’s very hot) and just sleep after evening meal.

I would much rather be at home. Day 2 of 7, hurrah!

You need to change your expectations and have a rethink of what you want from your holiday. Are you in a hotel with facilities? Near a beach/town/bus route? Have a car?
We we’re on holiday last week and it was baking hot but we still managed to visit shady cafes, shops and tourist sights during the morning, bars in the evening and just spent the hottest part of the day relaxing with books, tablets, playing cards and crossword puzzles. Unless you are very remote there should be lots of options, for you and dd (unless she takes after her dad in this regard).
