Bruges. I've been twice & each time found something new & loved it. It's great with DC too. We're going again, just for the day & taking my sister & her DC!

Looking forward to visiting a few more this summer!

Aside from the obvious Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris? Brussels (most Belgian cuties), Berlin, Rome, Florence. There are soooo many. Depends what you want to do.

Florence. For the art over and over again.

EmmaStone · 15/05/2023 08:30

@Perspectivo would completely depend on what you are looking for in a weekend, time of year, and who with.

But what were your favourite out of that selection?

WarmSausageTea · 15/05/2023 08:43

The three I would most happily go back to would be Berlin, Rome and Vienna. I feel very much at ease in each.

That said, I’ve enjoyed every European city I’ve visited to a greater or lesser extent, particularly smaller capitals like Riga, Ljubljana, Bratislava and Skopje.

MadEyeMoodysEye · 15/05/2023 08:49

Amsterdam, Budapest, Stockholm

junebirthdaygirl · 15/05/2023 08:52

Rome and Florence for everything
And Zubrovonik which was beautiful

Devilledchicken · 15/05/2023 09:01

Been visiting Munich (and surrounding areas) for years now. Winter/Spring/Summer/Autumn always something going on.

Lots to see and do covers everything from culture to shopping, parks to museums .

But although its always been on the more expensive side its getting very very costly now. But still my favourite having spent so many holidays there

I have visited many European citys the usual suspects (and many I would not go back too) but have really enjoyed the not so popular ones such as Gdansk, Bratislava and other East European citys.

djivdfj · 15/05/2023 09:16

Went to Stockholm last year and absolutely loved it. Thinking of going again for another week to explore the islands more

Wrongsideofpennines · 15/05/2023 09:26

Obvious ones would be Paris and Venice. I think there's plenty to explore on a few visits.

Less romantic and weather not as good: Belfast - small but plenty of tourist/history bits and the people are immensely friendly and proud of their city.
Vilnius - cheapish flights and walkable in the main. Lots to explore and they really want to show off their history and shake off some of the post soviet stereotypes.

Phos · 15/05/2023 09:28

Top 3:

Barcelona (its marmite though, a lot of people hate it)
Ljubljana
Vienna

I absolutely hated Florence but I seem to be the only person who does. Siena was better.

MK19590 · 15/05/2023 09:31

Vienna
