European city breaks

Hello,

I’m looking for inspiration for European city breaks. I’ve done many but sure there’s some out there. I’d be happy to cluster two or three together.

I’ve already done / am doing soon (and don’t want to do again - want new places):

Seville Cordoba and Granada.

Madrid

Haarlem, Brugge and Dresden. Or anywhere in Iceland.

Saville is wonderful.

I also liked Bilbao.

Sorry I didn't expand but these three are a good cluster. We have just come back from this area and there is so much to see. The Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita/Cathedral in Cordoba and the Alcazar in Seville are all worth a visit.

I’ve always fancied Iceland but want to save up for that and do it properly.

Will look into all the other options.

I’m actually looking for 2x city breaks (up to 4n each max - could be clustered) for 2023 and 1x Christmas market break for later this year

Salzburg and Vienna

I really liked Tallin, it’s got great food, very walkable, interesting history. Also Malaga, Granada….both small but both lovely.

Bruges, could combine with Ghent.

Venice

Loved, Seville and Córdoba.

Porto was lovely too.

Dubrovnik is next on my list.

Dubrovnik and Kotor. Kotor is tiny but gorgeous.

Trier - combine with wine tasting in the Mosel valley or Frankfurt or both

Vilnius is a fab place to explore - lots of history and as long as you don't go in the depths of winter quite a nice climate too. If you stay quite central then a lot of stuff is in easy walking distance too. No where near as big as, say, Lisbon or Barcelona but a fascinating place and the locals are super friendly.

Valencia is a hidden gem - lots to do for a weekend, relatively cheap when you are there

a lot of people don’t like it but I loved Athens. The food and the history were fantastic.

you could also do Aix en Provence - fly into Marseille and get the bus.
