Holidays
Far flung, exciting for kids

I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old, we are looking for a far flung holiday that would entertain two extroverts who love adventure style activities - but would provide the feel of the tropics that we love. Where would you go?

Florida. It’s not all about Orlando and Disney etc there is lots lots more as well, not much in the way of culture but I guess 9 and 12 yo are not into culture.

Costa Rica. Would go in a heartbeat but DP doesn't want to fly that far.

Singapore (Sentosa Island is perfect), the Riviera Maya in Mexico or Costa Rica. I'm off to Costa Rica this summer with 12yo DS and 9yo DD. Can't wait!

Thanks so much - I have some inside information that children will need to be triple jabbed to enter America

Can’t see anyone from the UK getting to holiday in Australia this year? I have been looking at Mexico

Mexico for sure, area south of cancun, playa del Carmen down towards tulum. Loads of natural theme park type things to do with zip lines etc look at the xcaret group of parks tons of adventurous things to do. This part isn't as built up as cancun and most resorts and quite spaced out. We're going back this summer for the 4th time, value for money is unbeatable compared to a good European all inclusive. Mexico also doesn't have any vaccine requirements for entry which is good for us as our then 12 year old will have only just turned 12 and won't have had 2 jabs

Costa Rica would be fab. Beautiful beaches, snorkeling etc, zip lines in the rain forest, mountains, wildlife. Quite safe compared to some neighbouring countries
