List has been released- who to book with? Anyone used testing for all?

DH has just managed using testing for all. Annoyingly I tried to buy some earlier in the week but hadn't realised they weren't compatible with the passenger form so will have to get a refund from those jokers or chargeback the transaction if they're funny about it.

Got a confirmation email from testing for all with an order number that is apparently the thing to use on PLF - but surely DH and I can't both use the same code as we two people?!

Any thoughts very welcome! Happy holidays everyone Hmm

did you get 2 tests within the same transaction?
AcanthusFlower · 22/10/2021 10:58

Do under 17s need a PCR or LFT?
The Govn website says LFT for fully vaccinated adults but only says "covid test" for 12-17s.
Any thoughts? Thanks

testingforall

Due to very high demand for our £19.00 lateral flow Day 2 test, we have temporarily paused sales. Please note that we are out of stock for arrivals on 24th October 2021, and low stock for arrivals on 30th October 2021. We have good stock levels for all other days. The store will be back shortly.

Queenie6655 · 22/10/2021 11:43

@EasterIssland

finally, just managed to buy some with randox £24 each

I've tried covidsmart but it was giving me error when paying

Plus you can use a code

Easyjet2021 gets you money off

smogsville · 22/10/2021 12:03

@EasterIssland in fact it's four codes we need isn't it as children are 6 and 10. But having looked at the email there is an acc to activate where we will presumably get four codes one for each of us. To answer your qu yes we bought four tests in one transaction.

loopsngeorge · 22/10/2021 13:07

I bought some this morning with living care including one for DD who is 12, no problems.

superstar84 · 22/10/2021 13:27

We ordered from testing for all this morning

You need to do seperate orders or you will only get one code for the PFL form

ChristopherTracy · 22/10/2021 14:51

Just done Randox, one order is fine - the email still generates 4 codes (or however many you have ordered).

GreySweater · 22/10/2021 15:37

Yes I just ordered Randox too and automatically got 4x codes in my confirmation of purchase email for the (4x tests I ordered). All seemed really easy.

But this was after I stupidly ordered 4x 'arrival tests' instead of 'day 2' tests from Affinity Health this morning. They say they will refund me if I return the tests.. let's see. Just make sure you don't do as I did and please buy 'day 2' tests. I am going to take my mistake as a sign of a good holiday I.e. I'm very relaxed and cannot engage my brain!

superstar84 · 22/10/2021 15:48

Had anyone done their PFL yet? I can't see to get the covid vaccination qr codes to scan to show proof

smogsville · 22/10/2021 16:03

@GreySweater I think that's what I did earlier this week, from Flowflex. The advert claimed that they all came with 'individual serial numbers' which sounded kosher. No mention in their listing of them not being suitable for what we needed. I emailed Flowflex to ask and got a response saying no they don't come with individual serial numbers (as when we opened them to look we couldn't find any) so I'll be requesting a refund on the basis of contradictory info on the website (I've taken screenshots) and if they won't refund I'm going to get the trx charged back through my credit card as goods not as described.

Hope everyone here has great breaks!

It’s a nightmare ! It rejected my husbands. I stated again and it worked but as we’re not flying til Sunday night I can’t finish them. It says that if the qr are rejected then you can show your proof on the airport / security
smogsville · 22/10/2021 17:40

Trying to do PLF now. Won't recognise my QR code for second vaccination. That's the first problem I've encountered. DH says the email from the test people only has one code not four. Will just have to make the best of it.

superstar84 · 22/10/2021 17:41

Is it the 2nd vaccine qr code that we should be trying? It says only one qr code is allowed so I've been trying the one from the 2nd vaccine

smogsville · 22/10/2021 17:55

I've done mine. DH now doing his while keeping up a grumbling running commentary on how awful it is a) that he's having to do it at all and b) now shit the form is (I didn't think it was so very bad).

Not too awful apart from the refusal to accept my second dose QR code as proof of vacc status so I will presumably be put in some sort of delinquents' queue and asked to show it at St Pancras when we get off the train.

For testing kit it just asked for a package ref number - and I'd added the children as minors travelling with me by then so if it had wanted unique identifying numbers for each and every individual it would have asked for them.

I've got a cold white wine on the go which I must say helped enormously.

Longdistance · 22/10/2021 18:08

Dh has just ordered from Confirmtesting. £25. Job done. We come back the 27th. We have used them for dds pre departure test.

EileenGC · 22/10/2021 18:41

For vaccines I'd upload a screenshot of the second dose, instead of trying to get the form to scan QR codes - it will miss many unfortunately. Plus, literally nobody checks the details on the form, they just want to see you've completed it.

Very useful info so far about different providers, thanks everyone.

ChristopherTracy · 22/10/2021 19:30

Yes, I separated the QR codes, made the second one huge and saved it as a PDF. It's a right faff.

NCTDN · 22/10/2021 21:47

Can you still use pcr tests? The eurofins one is £20 which seems cheaper than these?

Shesaysso · 22/10/2021 21:49

I’ve just got one code from Testing for All for four tests - will this be okay does anyone know. I was expecting to receive 4 codes?!

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 22/10/2021 21:57

This wasn't for a LFT but back in the summer I booked three Day 2 PCR tests for me, DH and DD. We all received the same reference number. I put this reference on both mine and dh's PLF (there was nowhere to put a code for DD as she was on my PLF) and there was no bother coming through airport check in or uk immigration.

EileenGC · 22/10/2021 22:00

To be honest, I know plenty of people who travel regularly to the UK and have reused the same code, more than once. It has never been a problem, there is no data system that flags up repeated codes...

AuditAngel · 22/10/2021 22:09

I’ve used testing for all. We had PCR from them.

Very happy with their service. Only downside is that we needed a separate email address for each family member.

AuditAngel · 22/10/2021 22:10

One code for all of you will be fine, we had the same in the summer.
