Majorca or not next week

Hi there,

We have both been double vaccinated. We have a 10 and 6 year old and due to fly out on the 28th for one week.

I have read that the Balearics will probably turn ambler plus and add on a 10-day quarantine. Does anyone know if that’s correct or not. I really am struggling to find the correct guidance!

We also have been fairly relaxed about going (excited actually) but we’re now starting to think with young children, is the hassle really worth it?

Alternatives of paying ££££ for terrible UK accommodations mean that we will not be going anywhere if we don’t go.

Has anyone been the last week or so with children? How did it go?

We flew out to Palma yesterday from Gatwick. All very straightforward although both airports were busy. Our EasyJet flight was full. I printed everything out as well as downloading the Spanish passenger form QR code to everyone’s wallet on their phones. I showed paper proof of double vacc/negative Covid tests at baggage check at Gatwick (and didn’t have to show them again) and we had Spanish QR code scanned at Palma. That was the extent of the checks at both airports.

Today I’ve just booked our Covid tests for 48 hours before our return flight. I will probably buy our Day 2 tests in the next few days.

It's unlikely they will go up a group. The UK has almost 3x the rate of infection than soain and Spain has more fully vaccinated than the UK. I came back from Mallorca last week. It's great. Go
