Where can I find an EXPERIENCED travel nanny to fly London - Sydney - London?????????????????

I'd rather not pay a recruitment agents fee, I've searched google, and still nothing......

I need an experience nanny who has the experience of entertaining my 2 year old son for the flight from London to Hong Kong (stay over night) then Hong Kong to Sydney - stay in Sydney for a month then back again. I'm a nervous wreck! I'll be on the flight too but can't stand the thought of my son not being happy or being able to run around.

I'll of course pay for the nanny's flight etc, does anyone know where I can find someone with experience without paying a recruitment fee?????

Thanks

Premium economy still doesn't equate to business class though. But agree that it is a lot better than economy.

ladymuck · 25/09/2007 11:51

Actually the first class toilets on BA are definitely more comfortable than the rest. But you need the various Gulf carriers to really do first class properly. Pity about the security issues.

use Phenergans, have to be over 18mths old, to knock them out. only thing is can have adverse reaction on making them hyper,as with dd on 11 hour flight, no slaves in tow on that flight though!

NorthernRockCod · 25/09/2007 11:52

why? i ask cause i have experience on gulf carriers

RTKangaMummy · 25/09/2007 11:58

LM what would you say is the difference then?

IME and IMHO there isn't one?

Business/1st class lounge, go on plane beforehand, champagne, food on demand not when they want you to eat, same toilets as top class etc etc.

We enjoyed it anyway

Also if you are upstairs you get a great storage cupboard with a lid, beside the seat for bags, jackets etc.

i agree that SINAPORE AIRLINES are very polite and efficient and very good, BUT they don't fly to the COOK ISLANDS in South Pacific

Which is the reason we went AIR NZ

I would like a nanny to accompany me to holidays/ mils house in the car

I am getting so damn bored of changing the DVDs in the in-car player

ditto handing snacks into the back seat

turning round makes me car sick

chopchopbusybusy · 25/09/2007 12:17

Oh god yes - I agree. Why on earth would you want to pay an agency fee when you can google search for a random stranger!

chopchopbusybusy · 25/09/2007 12:18

This is a wind up

Georgiaplus1 · 25/09/2007 13:18

I'm the person who started this tread and my hands are shaking as I type this. God forbid I expose another personal weakness to the mumsnet audience but I expect another character assassination by complete strangers who know nothing about my life. To the kind individuals who provided me with some answers to my questions, thank you. To the individuals who mis-read my question for a chance to be nasty, I just hope that my children never meet yours as I doubt they'll have much compassion, charm or confidence with you as their parent! If you're struggling to understand my sentiment, let me put it in simple terms that I'm sure you'll understand - GO PHUCK YOURSELVES!
