Easyjet flights disappeared from schedule

Hi there
Can someone advise if I should be worried about my easyjet flights to Pisa in August disappearing from the schedule? Easyjet haven't contacted me to let me know that the flights will be cancelled. It looks like they've reduced the schedule to one flight on Saturdays and one on Sundays. I'd be happy to change my flights (which are currently booked for Friday and Monday) but without easyjet telling me that I can be moved to another flight, I would have to pay a significant fare increase if I changed now? What do I do? I can't get through on the phone.

So it seems that even if a flight has disappeared from the schedule, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be cancelled - Easyjet might just change the times. Aaaargh!!

NotABeliever · 10/06/2020 19:15

BA cancelled my flights at Easter but let me rebook any route for the same price. What Easyjet are doing inflating the cost of the few remaining flights and forcing people ro pay a fare difference is totally reprehensible.

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet
I have seen the email that EasyJet sent now .
It is just saying he can switch flights up to 14 days before departure without a charge fee as long as travel restrictions remain.

I must have had vouchers in my head
from the Ryanair thing .

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 11/06/2020 11:13

@AnneKipanki Ooh, interesting. I wonder if when you get to within 14 days the options might change..!

AnneKipanki · 11/06/2020 12:12

I will let you know.

SJaneS48 · 12/06/2020 07:52

They do - you then get an email offering vouchers or a refund. We went for the refund option (and are still waiting for any sign of it!)

CountessFrog · 12/06/2020 08:15

We had flights with easyJet and Jet2 cancelled at half term. Jet2 cancelled much earlier and refunded quicker. I’m still waiting for the EZ refund.

Both gave the option to reschedule to next year, as far as I remember, at no extra cost.

Hi, we have flights going from London to Faro in 28th June. I've just had the email from Easyjet offering vouchers plus £10.
Not sure what to do. If the flight goes I'd be happy to go but should I wait until within the 14 day period?

AnneKipanki · 12/06/2020 10:36

I guess the flight is not going @aquamarine1 .
We have a flight 28th June too . Nothing in their schedule for our flight for June .
I do not know what you should do .

aquamarine1 · 12/06/2020 10:55

Thanks @AnneKipanki - I might hold off as I'd really love to go but I know the chances are pretty slim.

Clymene · 12/06/2020 11:04

You do know that you are going to have to self quarantine for 14 days when you come home don't you @Cannotcope4223? You aren't allowed to get public transport or leave your home for any reason. Seems a bonkers for a couple of days in the sun

aquamarine1 · 12/06/2020 11:22

I think the quarantine post was for me? Yes totally aware and it suits no problem. Working from home etc. We have our own house in Portugal so wouldn't be in a hotel.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 12/06/2020 11:32

I was reading an Easyjet Complaints FB group last night. It seemed to say that the vouchers being offered could only be used to make a telephone booking, and couldn't be used to make an online booking.
@aquamarine1 Does it say anything about that?

One thing people seemed to find that if they wanted to use the vouchers they'd accepted, they would need to call up to use them, and that there were additional admin charges (sometimes in excess of £100) on top of any fare difference applied for making a phone booking!!

AnneKipanki · 12/06/2020 11:34

Cheeky scamps @MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet !

aquamarine1 · 12/06/2020 11:37

Really? I certainly won't be taking them up on it if that's the case! Can't see anything on T&Cs.

@aquamarine1 Curiouser and curiouser...

Clymene · 12/06/2020 12:09

No it was meant for the person I tagged who said she was going to book a few days in a hotel in Faro

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 12/06/2020 12:15

I got an email saying your flights 'might' be cancelled, we don't know yet and offering the voucher. According to terms and conditions here (found on a twitter reply), voucher can be used on the website:

www.easyjet.com/en/policy/disruption-vouchers

We've decided just to go with vouchers. People seem to be waiting months for refunds and we'll use the vouchers. Need to book within 12 months, but travel date doesn't need to be within 12 months. We could have claimed flights due to a good FCO clause in our travel insurance, but we'd lose out on excess.

AnneKipanki · 12/06/2020 14:41

UPDATE: H has had email saying flight is cancelled with a link to claim refund.

Newgirls · 12/06/2020 14:47

If it helps - we got a refund from easyJet yesterday for Easter flights, so it can happen!

littlequestion · 12/06/2020 14:54

Mine is showing as "sold out" on the outward journey but the return journey is still there. Does anyone know if we'd get a refund for the whole thing if they've cancelled one leg? We'd rather delay the holiday until next year so that would be good for us...happy to take a voucher too but don't want to lose the money,

aquamarine1 · 12/06/2020 15:31

I just got the email to say it's cancelled and how to get a refund.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 12/06/2020 18:34

Interesting note on the website now.

Abkbjbjb · 15/06/2020 16:49

Hi does anybody know if we go for easyJet voucher for cancelled flights can the value be used against a booking on an easyJet holiday for summer 2021?

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 15/06/2020 17:16

@Abkbjbjb No, I believe not, as they are separate businesses.
