Bedgebury is holding a Christmas 'Lapland UK' Experience

... covering a part of the forest with fake snow, Christmas village, Raymond Briggs 'The Snowman' ride, Father Christmas visit, mulled wine to fortify parents, reindeer, husky dogs, trumpeters and all sorts. I'm soooo excited. Er, for my children, obviously...

It's quite expensive though (I just paid £167 for a family of 5). Here is the link. And here is the itinery.

And it's selling out quite quickly.

DOT777 · 20/08/2008 17:50

Well, apparently I work for them too and I laugh about it alot, but sadly I do not, I do not have the time but I probaly should as I like it so much.

Never mind Robbo, it will all go away soon, hope you get your tickets.

Dorothy bladder-wrack

You have endeared yourself to us with your blatant observations about lapland UK

Cheers

Ooo Fireman Robbie. You don't impress me with your hose. Glad to see you making use of my sense of humour though.

I went to Bedgebury last year with DS2. We went for the Go Ape experience but it was at the same time as the Lapland one. We walked past so many people moaning about how awful the Lapland event was. We saw a couple of rather pathetic looking "Laplanders" and a few artificial snowflakes. Despite the fact that going up in the trees in freezing weather froze my buttocks solid, I was very glad we'd chosen to do like the apes do rather than the reindeers.

zippitippitoes · 20/08/2008 18:12

actually i quite fancy that go ape thing

While Dot has complained about Fio calling her a rude word, it seems our Mrs L-F isn't so worried about calling a spade a spade elsewhere on the worldwide web.

Disclaimer: this post is from someone calling themselves Dorothy L-F, theoldestcat - and mumsnet - accepts no liability if it's just somebody pretending to be DLF

Freckle · 20/08/2008 18:16

It was great, zippi. Just don't go in the depths of winter unless you enjoy trying to defrost your gluteus maximus for a minimum of 4 hours afterwards.

AbbaFan · 20/08/2008 18:22

TOC - love that.

coppertop · 20/08/2008 18:25

So Dorothy has no particular interest in Crapland UK???

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 20/08/2008 18:27

I'm doing the GoApe at Grizedale next week.

AbbaFan · 20/08/2008 18:34

AbbaFan · 20/08/2008 18:53

eandh · 20/08/2008 18:56

THANKYOU

There is a lovely restaurant in same complex as cinema that does 2 for 1 if you hand in cinema ticket so depending how tired we are we may pop in there after (saying that my dd2 was up at 6.20 this morning and thats a lay in for her and best mates kids are early risers so we could be asleep before end of film )

Just waiting for her to pick me up
