Bedgebury is holding a Christmas 'Lapland UK' Experience

... covering a part of the forest with fake snow, Christmas village, Raymond Briggs 'The Snowman' ride, Father Christmas visit, mulled wine to fortify parents, reindeer, husky dogs, trumpeters and all sorts. I'm soooo excited. Er, for my children, obviously...

It's quite expensive though (I just paid £167 for a family of 5). Here is the link. And here is the itinery.

And it's selling out quite quickly.

Looks interesting! I wonder if my children are just a tiny bit too old for it though

massivebigpantsface · 29/08/2007 07:52

bugger! dd is only 7 months so i, i mean, she, won't get to enjoy it
hopefully they have it every year!

seeker · 29/08/2007 08:06

Oh we'd love to go - but I can't afford to book until the 18th - I bet it'll be sold out by then Never mind - next year!

Bedgebury is wonderful at any time of the year, btw!

Marina · 29/08/2007 08:17

Thanks for the tip-off DoNB, we love Bedgebury too and dd was asking just last night if we could visit Fr Christmas this year "in his home". Expensive I agree but much cheaper and easier for us than Lapland
Now, if dsis would pull out her finger and sort out her baby's christening I could book it!

WaynettaSlob · 29/08/2007 08:20

I was just about to say "I'll be the one with 2 children" thinking I'd spot you as the one with three, but then realised that there may be a few other people there too DOH!

LilyLoo · 29/08/2007 09:24

thanks

WaynettaSlob · 29/08/2007 09:27

Lilyloo I think you'd be best staying at the Hastings one - it's only 18.1 miles away.....

WaynettaSlob · 29/08/2007 09:27

JodieG1 · 29/08/2007 09:36

You won't see santa after Christmas but I'd imagine it would still look good there.

WaynettaSlob · 29/08/2007 09:49

I shall study your pictures and introduce myself if I see you! (I don't actually look like the picture in my profile ()

I'd give them a call as it doesn't appear to say on the website.

WS - look forward to it Wonder how many people they'll have at a time, I can imagine it being quite busy!

LilyLoo · 29/08/2007 09:59

Thanks Waynetta have booked that one.
I have booked for Sun 9th Dec at 10.00 am so let us know how you get on Victor Victoria. Thanks Duchess

VictorVictoria · 29/08/2007 10:02

Will do. It's heaven sent for me - my parents live about 20 mins away and, every year, some friends of ours come and stay and our DH's go and do boy things together on the saturday whilst we girls take the children somewhere (don't worry - my DH does hos fari share of childcare normally). so this is fab
