Welcome to another season of LEGOLAND madness!
Please ask any Legoland related questions, there are loads of seasoned Legolanders here who know the place inside out. There have been loads of really great tips last year so please keep them coming!!!!
Please remember none of us work for Legoland, we are all mums dads childminders and locals who are sharing what we know!
Please keep it friendly. If you had a good bad or plain ugly experience share it too!

Thank you, itscurtainsforyou, we will be there and home again before that. Hoping for quiet visits, though a bit worried about the weather forecast now! (Unfortunately the tickets require me to choose the dates in advance)

Cherrypie32 · 04/07/2017 14:59

I was there yesterday, it was nowhere near as quiet as I thought it would be. I wished we had bought qbots but thought we wouldn't need them. Around 11until about 4 queues were around 40mins to 1 hour for most popular/newer rides. We got most done early & late.

SciFiFan2015 · 04/07/2017 18:41

Just leaving Legoland. Brilliant day. Didn't bother with the qbots and quite pleased with that choice. Would have only needed them for 2 rides. We went on several rides multiple times. The digipass for the photos was worth it but sadly didn't see an official photographers on the way round. Weather was fab. Warm, dry and not too sunny. Got the refillable drinks bottle, yes at £8 each was expensive but I think we had them refilled about 8 times. We shared 2 between 4.

Just buying tickets, not happy to see a review from 5 days ago saying ninja go ride and dragon roller coaster had both been broken!
Has anyone else experienced this?

Cherrypie32 · 05/07/2017 09:42

Everything working on Monday this week.

Mistressiggi · 05/07/2017 11:21

Thanks Cherry Smile

We are off to Legoland for the first time with 2 v. excited boys (5 and 7) and a small baby.

Do you have to leave prams at the entrance for rides or can you take them in the queue (baby sleeps SO much better in pram than in sling)?

Any other tips on how to survive with a small baby appreciated

Thanks

Catsick36 · 06/07/2017 10:12

I am hoping to take our 2 and a half yr old and new baby, is it worth buying qbot thing? Same as above any tips for taking younglings

Cherrypie32 · 06/07/2017 11:05

From my visit on Monday (not with a baby I hasten to add) I would say you'd have to leave a pram at the top of the queue. I took my granny shopping trolley for carrying everything and was able to leave it next to the attendants on most rides but there wouldn't have been room where you get on for a pram. Also some rides queue up stairs. Could you take baby in a sling?

Cherrypie32 · 06/07/2017 11:08

As for qbots, if you're going before school holidays I prob wouldn't worry as rides for the younger ones weren't so busy. You could plan your day that you go in early and stay late, doing play areas or water play during busy middle of the day maybe.

Mistressiggi · 06/07/2017 12:48

Hello, anyone seen any products/shops which still have the 2for1 vouchers on them?

Itscurtainsforyou · 06/07/2017 19:33

Cadburys packs off chocolate buttons etc

Mistressiggi · 07/07/2017 12:58

Great, finally found one!

Yeeyeelovesraaraa · 07/07/2017 23:58

Mistressiggi we were there Wednesday & Thursday this week & both Ninjago & dragon rides were working fine. Hill train was out of service though, so if you are going soon, be prepared for having to walk the hills down to the park or up to the shops. There are some slides alongside the steps for the way down - makes it more fun for the kids.

Wont repeat all the fab advice already given, but did notice someone commented upthread about cost of drinks & that it was a shame there were no water fountains - we found several - outside the toilet blocks in the main entrance/shopping area, next to the 4d movie theatre, in duplo valley near farmer joes chicken company (restaurant) to name a few, so we bought a bottle of water then refilled it ourselves which saved a few ££.

Qbots - depends on when you are going imo. Unnecessary for mid-week term time (we didnt bother, most queues were 5-10 mins). For the summer holidays - if you can afford a qbot, definitely get one!

dailymailarecunts · 10/07/2017 23:15

I am taking ds (5) on Thursday for a surprise trip. We have the basic qbot but are only going for 1 day. Do any of you have a suggested order / preferred itiniery to make most of time there? I can do cbeebiesland with my eyes closed but legoland is new to me!

Mistressiggi · 11/07/2017 11:31

We're going then too Smile
If he likes Ninjago maybe go there first. Do the duplo valley/splash play stuff in early afternoon when it's most busy. At five yesterday we were still there and could go on the bigger rides with very little queue.

crocodilesoup · 11/07/2017 13:48

Does anyone know the on the door price just now? (To be used with the two for one chocolate offers)
TIA

Itscurtainsforyou · 11/07/2017 14:00

£50 on the door at the weekend.

We went to ninjago first to try to avoid the queues - still waited almost an hour though (no more than 20 mins for anything else).

Take swimwear for the water area in duplo- we regretted not doing

crocodilesoup · 11/07/2017 14:25

Thank you Smile
Shock

Avebury · 13/07/2017 07:55

We were there yesterday - on the door price £45 so with four Cadburys vouchers I got 8 of us in for £180.
It was busy but not horrendous. We did Ninjago first (turn right as you go in) and I think our longest queue was Pirate Falls.
We were there from opening to closing and after about 4pm it definitely calmed down.
So many primary school trips earlier in the day - I can't think of anything worse for staff or pupils.

dailymailarecunts · 13/07/2017 18:15

We are just back to hotel! Thanks for all your guys help!

We had the basic qbots but it really wasn't busy enough to warrant them I don't think. We queued 20 mins for ninjango about lunch time to give you an idea. Had a fab day, but I am knackered now!

doze931 · 16/07/2017 09:59

We are hoping to book to go either last week of June or first week of July 2018. How busy does it get at this time of year. Son has language impairment and sensory issues but no official diagnosis and isnt great in queues or waiting about

Mistressiggi · 16/07/2017 10:47

It's very hard to predict. We were there Monday and Thursday before schools were off - Monday much busier than Thursday though still quiet after about 4pm both days. Second day pretty quiet though I saw several school trips there which added to the numbers. I saw one young man wearing ear defenders.

doze931 · 16/07/2017 12:08

Thanks, we are swaying more towards 1st week of july so he doesnt miss any school. He is going to a speech and language unit so in a week wud miss quite a bit. Will just have to buy q bots if too busy for him. Im more excited than the kids are. Has anyone stayed at premier inn at heathrow airport? Is so cheap compared to everywhere else. 20min drive

Mistressiggi · 16/07/2017 14:48

Really worth spending two days if you can afford it - then you don't feel bad about opting out in the busiest time of the day and going to the splash park or playgrounds or just eating.
Loved the riding school ride this year, very scary!
