Welcome to another season of LEGOLAND madness!
Please ask any Legoland related questions, there are loads of seasoned Legolanders here who know the place inside out. There have been loads of really great tips last year so please keep them coming!!!!
Please remember none of us work for Legoland, we are all mums dads childminders and locals who are sharing what we know!
Please keep it friendly. If you had a good bad or plain ugly experience share it too!

If you don't mind the queues - Legoland holiday offer currently on. Kids go free in the summer holidays if you book before 2nd April

wrinkleseverywhere · 30/03/2017 13:21

Hoping to go on our first trip to LL tomorrow. What time is the all new shiny pirate show? Can someone remind me of the height limit on the "big" roller coaster? Is it 1m20?
Thanks

Hi all, this is such a useful thread! I've just downloaded the app and it mention mobile q bot - does anyone know how these work??

ShavenConnery · 05/04/2017 09:55

Thanks for a really useful thread - going for the first time tomorrow as a birthday treat for a 6 year old. Just a couple of questions:

  1. In some of the old threads some people recommended going to one of the restaurants and having dinner then to avoid the closing time rush, but the website says the restaurants close at the same time as the park. So can you do this?
  2. Going with a 3 year old and a (just) 6 year old - will they both be able to go on 3-5 driving school, or are they strict about it? Don't want to queue for a ride only one of them can go on.

Thanks.

Great thread.
Could i get some tips?
We are planning on going over the Easter break, as we will be staying nearby.

We missed the online£45 tickets, but can get £50 each tickets. Alternatively we can use two child in free vouchers we have, and buy one ticket in advance.

My question is - if we turn up at 09.30 as suggested are we likely to have to queue for ages to buy tickets? And also, can we buy qbots on the door?

We live far enough away that this is the only realistic option for us to go this year.

First outing today, and OMG!! A new Pirate show! Brilliant fun! Thank god! I think the old one, however brilliant, would have killed me off. The Lego Friends show has gone for now (Thank you God!) and hopefully never to return....

We got a great deal with the current Kidspass offer. Martin Lewis is my new best friend. If you are looking at going over the next week or so it's worth checking out.

MrsJacksonAvery · 13/04/2017 19:29

What do we think the crowds will be like on Easter Sunday?

HarrassedMumof3 · 19/04/2017 17:22

Just found this thread, thanks for all the tips so far.
We're going on May 1-2 - the first day is a bank holiday and the second is an inset day for us. We have q-bots on the first day but not sure yet what to focus on on the Monday? Will it be crazy busy?
We have 6 and 3 year olds and a small baby.

conkerpods · 21/04/2017 16:27

Hi,so I have a few packets of rice crispier marshmallow squares, and I can't see where the promotional code is???It says you can book online in advance rather than the turn up and queue option.
Does anyone know how to find the code?

conkerpods · 22/04/2017 19:59

Vonklump what discount did you get with the Kidspass?

angea09 · 27/04/2017 15:07

Anyone used qbot mobile? I'm guessing it saves queuing on the day for the device but wondering if wifi is good in the park and if qbot mobile is reliable?

Jess1393 · 28/04/2017 10:34

We are going to legoland on the 20th May for my daughters birthday. Im just wondering how busy the park is on a weekend outside of school holidays? Are the Q bots worth it for a Saturday? We are getting our tickets for free as my brother works there so we dont mind paying extra for thw Q-bots if necessary. X

angea09 · 29/04/2017 13:12

I've been keeping an eye on qbot mobile Jess1393 see attached for an idea of queue times. This is from just now

Thank you for your reply angea09. Thise queues dont seem to bad. I was expecting worse. Gives me hope for when we go. X

angea09 · 29/04/2017 15:07

Not promising it's fool proof - keep an eye on it www.legolandqbot.co.uk/#
Also - today isn't very sunny. I expect when weather is better queues longer?

Fish1finger · 29/04/2017 18:21

We have book legoland for the 2 days (staying one night in a partner hotel) never been before and going with my twin boys (age 4), any recommendations, hints and tips on what we must get done! We are going a Thursday and Friday in June m, do you think it will be busy on past experience? X

herecomesthsun · 29/04/2017 19:56

Fishfinger I posted quite a long account of our 2 day stay in early June 2016 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/days_out_recommendations/2605780-THE-LEGOLAND-2016-Tips-Hints-Reviews-and-Questions-answered-here on 8th June. HTH.

I am thinking of going tomorrow and would really like to know what you thought of all the Star Wars stuff. I am thinking that the kids motivated to go might be the Lego Star Wars fans, and they might be more keen on the builds and Star Wars special games and events than the rides?

DS loves Star Wars, DD less so.

I am wondering whether a Q Bot, if we got one, could be used interchangeably? So that DS could do a couple of rides and then DD could have a go?

youarenotkiddingme · 29/04/2017 20:02

Bot mobile worked well for ds and me - well we use RAP version but looks the same as above.

2 tips with it - 1) keep hone on airplane mode when waiting for ride as it drains the battery and 2) once they've scanned the barcode thing you can book the next ride immediately. So decide what's next before you get in queue. Then book next ride straightaway. Usually by the time you've been on current ride and for off 5/10 minutes has passed and so you've less waiting time!

The longest queues tend to be coastguard hq, knights rollercoaster and laser shooting one so I've booked those for after pirates show/ lunch/ film they want to watch in cinema etc. Then whilst you wait the 45-60 minutes you are doing something else.

angea09 · 30/04/2017 14:37

Really useful youarenotkiddingme - thanks. A lot of planning and organisation required! I assume there is legoland wifi?

youarenotkiddingme · 30/04/2017 16:24

I actually don't know! I was using data! Another reason I closed page and put on airplane mode!

herecomesthsun · 30/04/2017 21:29

We had a very good day today - it wasn't too busy.

WheresTheCoffee · 14/05/2017 07:39

We've got a Sunday/Monday visit booked for July, DS has wanted to go for years..we can't wait!
Thanks know you for these threads, can anyone recommend the best way to eat on day 2 please? We'll take picnics for the first day but as we're staying in a hotel there won't be anywhere to prepare for the second day.
None of us have specific dietary needs, I'd just like to keep the cost down!
