Welcome to another season of LEGOLAND madness!
Please ask any Legoland related questions, there are loads of seasoned Legolanders here who know the place inside out. There have been loads of really great tips last year so please keep them coming!!!!
Please remember none of us work for Legoland, we are all mums dads childminders and locals who are sharing what we know!
Please keep it friendly. If you had a good bad or plain ugly experience share it too!

Iggi- when I looked at the website the days were colour coded -£30 was the cheapest I could see them.

Iggi999 · 19/06/2017 23:48

Thanks Curtains, I think that must be offpeak as there's nothing cheaper - just wish it used the same term! Starting to get excited now!

Jilly2709 · 21/06/2017 12:27

Hi there,
We are about to purchase tickets to Lego Land for next Saturday (1st July) does anyone know about any current discount vouchers? I already know about the 7 days + advance bookings. Thanks in adavance!

SciFiFan2015 · 21/06/2017 13:00

Do you really need a qbot each (family of 4) or is there a strategy where you only use 2 for example? Would this perhaps work best on a mobile?

Itscurtainsforyou · 21/06/2017 13:08

Jilly there are bogof offers on some cadburys packs.

ASDismynormality · 21/06/2017 13:13

Don't know if this has already beenentioned but Coco pops in Tesco have vouchers for a free digital photo download.

Planning a day trip by public transport next week due to inset day.
Does anyone know which train station should I aim for to get the quickest bus to the park? Google is randomly recommending two different Windsors, Slough or Ascot, but one of their journeys involves a half hour walk, from bus stop to park which I think would be a bit much given that we're going to be on our feet all day.

NotYoda · 21/06/2017 20:47

My advice:

Go for a two day visit so you can make sure you go on the things you missed the second day

Most people turn left when they go in. If you have slightly older children, turn right and run down the hill to the dragon ride first

Enjoy MiniLand. This was my DS1s favourite part of the park. Relax and let them spend as much time as they want watching the little trains

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 22/06/2017 08:04

Just wanted to add a bit of logistical info-
My DS works at Legoland and the Hill Train is out of order. And apparently will be for a while.
So factor in the big walk up the hill at then end-if you were hesitating about bringing a pushchair then I think I would....
Have fun.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 22/06/2017 10:02

And Yes i think either Windsor station close.
I don't know about Ascot but do not take bus from Slough.
You can take train from Slough to Windsor Central but don't take bus from there....

Iggi999 · 24/06/2017 22:53

Bit pissed off as trying now to buy tickets using Tesco voucher and even though I'm visiting on the cheap days in July (£30 on website) I have to pay voucher + £21.99, which is not as much of a saving as I'd hoped for!

Iggi999 · 24/06/2017 22:53

...the off peak ones with Tesco end at the end of June.

womaninatightspot · 25/06/2017 05:24

Do you think anyone could manage 5 days straight in legoland? Bought annual passes, staying just two miles away so easy start to the day. One adult and Lego crazy 4 and 6 year old. Just wondering what would be a good back up plan in windsor if dc need a break. Planning to do it in a relaxed sort of way hopefully :)

ASDismynormality · 25/06/2017 12:44

5 days in Legoland would be far too many, I would think 2 is plenty unless the weather is really good and the kids spend a lot of time in the water area.
Do you have Legoland or Merlin annual passes - of Merlin then perhaps a day in Chessington.

womaninatightspot · 25/06/2017 13:59

Legoland passes I did think it might be a bit much. Although I think they'd happily hang out at the water bit or the adventure playground for hours. They went for two days last year and really only did about half the park. It'd be for the first weekend in July onwards I'm assuming it'll be much quieter on weekdays?

IggyAce · 29/06/2017 13:01

Just booked to go a Monday & Tuesday in August. We aren't telling the kids (6&10) until the day, they think we are going October half term but the price was too good to pass up. I expect it's going to be very busy so will see if we have the money for a qbot for one of the days.

BlueSkyRedPepper · 29/06/2017 15:01

I have just booked for our first visit and will be going with kids aged 7, 6, and just under 3.

We are staying at the hotel so can anyone advise do we go to the hotel first to get tickets to gain entry? We have around a 7 hour drive to get there so going to be a very early start Shock

MrEBear · 03/07/2017 07:33

We are visiting LEGOLAND this week (Wednesday and Thursday) with 6 yo and baby.
Are qbots a must or will it be quiet enough not to bother with them?

BrucesTooth · 03/07/2017 07:45

We went a couple of weeks ago on a Friday and it was really quiet, didn't really queue for anything longer than 5 minutes, nijago was 10. I'd have been very annoyed if I'd bought q-bots as they made no difference. We got there before opening though, at 9.30, spent time in miniland and then into the park. Watched the pirate show at lunchtime. Stayed till just before closing. It was great.

MrEBear · 03/07/2017 11:33

That would be fantastic if it's the same. I have a feeling that it is bound to be busier with the Scottish schools having broken up for summer.

Itscurtainsforyou · 03/07/2017 14:11

We're going this wkd - forecast is good so I'm expecting it to be heaving Hmm

GinYummy · 03/07/2017 16:06

Hi I have booked to stay at the holiday inn express in slough.
I was hoping to travel by train to avoid the heavy traffic.
Does anyone know how long it would take to get to LL from slough via train or bus?
Thank you

Mistressiggi · 03/07/2017 23:50

Can anyone tell me when the English schools break up? Thanks!

SciFiFan2015 · 04/07/2017 07:54

Argh! Excited. Heading there today...

Itscurtainsforyou · 04/07/2017 08:29

English schools vary with term dates. Some independent schools finish this Friday, but most state schools finish week of 21st/28th July.
