it is a whole thread in itself isn't Moondog. And my dh gets very cross with me. I will one day go to Turkey. I do have a problem with alot f the political issues (kurds for example) and Ilove Greece and if I am going in that direction I woudl prefer to go there.

Yes Beetroot,I have a problem with the Kurdish issue too (interesting and upsetting parallels for me as a Welsh speaker) and live slap bang in Kurdish heartleand (Van in the far east).

If you like Greece (I do too!) then have a look at \link{http://www.minoan.ferries.org/\the ferries} Pre kids Me and DH flew to corfu for a couple of weeks then got the ferry as foot passengers from corfu town to Venice, spent a short time there before taking the train through Italy and France.

You could maybe get a cheap flight To Venice and start with a city style break or have a break in southern Italy before getting a ferry to one of the islands. Look at villas for the 6 of you, booked independently they can work out cheap between a group.
