We're going to Legoland for 2 days in the easter hols with dd (7) & ds (4). They are both fans of lego & fast rides. Would appreciate your best tips. (Staying in central London)

Yes I wondered that too Sallystrawberry as I did a 30 mile round tip to Tesco only to discover that the vouchers on the milk were now for playstation stuff.......I think I have missed out there!!
I bet I have thrown out at least one without even knowing it was on the flipping carton.

Ladies, sainsburys are doing legoland vouchers. Not sure what the deal is tho have noticed them on the 4pts and 6pts of milk. I know the offer is still on as i work at sainsbury.

This info has been great. Just a couple more questions, staying after 5.00? I thought it closed at 5.00? Also does anyone know how long the shuttle from Windsor station takes?
Thanks again everyone!

Openng times vary - check website before you go. It shut at 6 when I was there, but I didn't notice any reduction in queue length tbh.
Shuttle from station took about 1/2 hour for my friend last week.

Okay probably all been said but:
Take own food if can - expensive and not too good...
Head down to the bottom and work your way back up to the main gate....
Get the leaflet and check the height guide so you don't queue for anything they can't actually go on...

LIZS · 13/04/2006 10:20

Actually we were pleasantly surprised by the food last year. They did rolls with choice of drink and fruit plus small toy for the kids alongside the usual fast food fare. Not cheap but actually ok for a picnic lunch, especially given that we went on one of the hottest days of the year and our own food would probably have not been as fresh by then. dd had just turned 4 and we took her buggy (not normally used by then but I was on my own with a friend) which worked well for the hilly bits and to hold the bags ! ds and friend's dd , both then 7, loved it. Enjoy !

MissChief · 13/04/2006 10:27

windsor station about 10 mins from legoland by car so allowing for several stops/traffic, wd be 30 mins max I guess.

Theresa · 13/04/2006 11:39

Thanks again folks!

Janh · 16/04/2006 17:17

You can get in for £10 with \link{http://www.lastminute.com/lmn/pso/entertain/booking_2.jhtml?location=LEGOLAND+Windsor%2C+Winkfield+Road%2C+Windsor%2C+Berkshire%2C+SL4+4AY&CATID=22&PRODID=444943670\lastminute.com} on a few random weekdays in May. £18 at weekends - and Spring Bank, apparently Shock. Not special event days though.

locket1981 · 17/04/2006 19:22

The offer has finished now, typical. I post that there are on at sainsbury then they stop. I have a free childs entry if anyone wants it. Got it with weetabix last year. Offer ends oct 2006 i believe.

Theresa · 23/04/2006 16:30

Just back & it was great, tips very handy. We were there on Thurs & Fri & Queues were great, especially on Thurs where we never waited more than 10 mins for anything, driving & fire engines had big queues later on but we did them first thanks to your tips. Took own food first day but had jacket pots in the castle on the second day & they were nice, expensive but it's kind of what you expect in these places. A big tip to 'Northerners' would be to research the school hols (as I did on this site!) & go when the school hols are different.
