Onto UCAT and personal statements now - good luck everyone!

It was end of Nov/ start of Dec when dd heard from Plymouth

We’re waiting on Cambridge, kings, Leeds and Sheffield. Exciting to see people get interviews but the wait is so nerve wracking.

Homerton college. What stats are you wanting? Predicted 3 x A star and 3010 UCAT, STJ Band 1

Some great stats on here. Any wonder they got early interviews.

Waiting for QUB, Birmingham, Leeds & Liverpool (which looks like it'll be next year before interview invites are out - unless they jump on the early bandwagon.) Gonna be a long wait.

@Optimum19 all the med schools have their own timelines irrespective of stats. DD had 3200 SJT 1 UCAT and 3 A star A level predictions and didn't get a Notts invitation until December. Friends with lower stats had invitations from other med schools earlier. There is a big element of randomness to it.

Yay! DS has an interview invitation from Sheffield - it’s his first choice so booked for January hoping he might get an earlier interview elsewhere.

DS got an interview for Sheffield and Cambridge today. He’s so pleased. Now need to nail the preparation!

Rejection for DS from Exeter today. UCAT 2700 all A star GCSEs but only predicted 3 As for A-level, which I suspect is the reason (I did warn him).
He has emailed to ask for his Exeter score (not sure if they will tell him). Apparently only scores above 74 were offered interviews.

As a mum with two kids at med school, just to say there is a major degree of randomness as to how each uni hands out interviews. Some offer out interviews in one go, others do it in batches over a few days with no discernible rhyme or reason for who is in each batch.

Hang on in there, it’s only mid Nov, the interview invites process is just getting started.

i’m looking forward to hearing about your dc invites in the next few weeks or so.

Fingers crossed for his other choices. Sometimes if you like somewhere it is worth giving it a go rather than wondering ‘what if’.
