Warwick Uni (less face to face than last year!)

For those students applying in 2022. Really think twice about applying to Warwick University for any of the Bioscience Courses.

My dd just going into year 2 and she's got less f2f teaching than last year! Only 50 percent of her tutorials are f2f this term, all lectures are online and she only has 6 LABS all year.

There apparent excuse is they have a larger in take this year so more tutorials.

Shocking behaviour from a top 10 University.

Sometimes parents can usefully get involved. I don't think it has to be cut and dried that they never do particularly as we pay so much money and a teenager is still relatively young.

Anyway it sounds like Warwick are improving things with more face to face sessions.
One my sons (not at Warwick) finds long periods at a screen hurt his eyes so at Bristol his pattern was go into the library and work from books just about all day every way. that went out of the window in March 2020. Thankfully his law course this year supplies a box of written paper materials from which they work (as well as everything that is online too) so it seems to be working out better (and he and his twin have 5 x 2 hour seminars a week face to face - although currently on a kind of half term with mock exams for 2 weeks)

@LoonvanBoon. Dd has had loads of research papers to read online last week as well as lectures etc. So lots of screen time but I'm just happy that she's reconnected in person with other students on similar courses.. Its not so easy when you are living off campus and virtually all the course is online this term.

@xenia.. Good that written papers are being supplied too.
