Thanks for all the good luck messages and good luck right back to all those also waiting for news tomorrow.

Thankfully had a manic work day today so no time to dwell...

LaundryFairy · 11/01/2021 19:26

Oh, @FlyingSquid sorry to hear that - how are you feeling?

FrauFreud · 11/01/2021 19:39

oh crikey yes - missed that! Just saw cake & G&T. Hope all ok.

quest1on · 11/01/2021 20:05

Hi everyone. Just wanted to wish all your DC the very very best of luck for tomorrow.

If this is any help whatsoever, I’ve had a health scare this week - fortunately it’s all resolved now, thank god. But it does really put things into perspective and a side-benefit is that I (and DS) haven’t thought about unis all week! (Now I can get back to rambling on and obsessing on MN) Grin

This is just a point In time and they will all go on to find amazing things regardless.

But fingers crossed for you all!

MatureStudent21 · 11/01/2021 20:10

Good luck to all the DC who will be hearing from Oxford tomorrow, and for all you lovely mums (parents?) who are so supportive of them. Either way it’s going to be an emotional day but it sounds like you’re all on it with plans to celebrate - whether that’s celebration an offer or the journey to get to this point!

@whiteroseredrose this is also my predicament - although for me I’d have to choose between Durham and Manchester!

MatureStudent21 · 11/01/2021 20:12

@quest1on I’m glad to hear your health scare is resolved

WarmAndco3y · 11/01/2021 20:28

@FlyingSquid hope you are okay. Look after yourself and stay safe.

@quest1on, wow, it all happens at once. Glad you are okay, you can put it down, to wanting something got a distraction Shock
I’ve come home from work tonight expectant for tomorrow, even though DS is a Cambridge applicant. Gosh, what will I be like on the 24th??

Jano69 · 11/01/2021 21:02

Sorry to hear that @FlyingSquid and @quest1on.

It will be difficult focussing on work tomorrow. I hope we're put out of our misery by midday.

FlyingSquid · 11/01/2021 21:38

Thanks, you lovely lot! I don’t have any of the typical symptoms but do have some other weird ones, so the Zoe app sent me off for a test. DD is baking - it’s her go-to when stressed.

Revengeofthepangolins · 11/01/2021 21:51

The Keble admissions reports seem oddly detailed given the results aren’t out to candidates yet. (Only some subjects up on their site)

whiteroseredrose · 11/01/2021 22:11

@maturestudent21 tricky isn't it! Durham is a more prestigious uni and the Earth Sciences course is one of the best. But neither DD nor DS before her liked the 'feel' of it. I don't know why.

bendmeoverbackwards · 11/01/2021 22:26

DD’s gone off to bed, I won’t see her now till after results come through. I’m trying to work out the right words to say to her if it’s not good news.

Beetlesand · 11/01/2021 23:17

Glad you are ok now @quest1on @FlyingSquid- I hope it’s you feel better soon

Good luck to the ‘Oxford lot’ for tomorrow

raspberryrippleicecream · 12/01/2021 00:18

Good luck everyone for tomorrow. I'm hoping DS hears something early before I go off to school (where I can't have my mobile either). He is very happy with the offers he already has and seems very laid-back today, and says he just wants to know - it's been a long journey starting with choral auditions in September

DahliaMacNamara · 12/01/2021 00:22

So it's technically the 12th now. Off to bed in a minute. DD is still up, and Gawd only knows what time she will make it to bed. I have promised not to wake her up 'to read a rejection email'. I'll probably still be pacing the floor at lunchtime. Hope for some good news from lots of you by the time I sign back in tomorrow.

MidLifeCrisis007 · 12/01/2021 07:13

Best of luck to all on the Dark Blue side awaiting news today.

Fingers crossed for a Man From Del Monte moment for us all!

I'm bricking it for DS1....(History re-applicant).

JulesJules · 12/01/2021 07:19

On TSR people have already heard from St Peters - sending results out early as they did last year.

Eastisup · 12/01/2021 07:45

Good luck everyone waiting today! Everything is crossed here but trying to remain calm and pragmatic. Dd was ok last night but goodness knows what time she got to sleep. I might occupy myself with TSR all morning...

bendmeoverbackwards · 12/01/2021 07:52

Morning all. Good luck to all our fabulous dc. I can hear dd is awake, she said she would come and get dh and I when she has news.

Flyonawalk · 12/01/2021 08:03

Morning. Just popping in to wish all your DC great luck. I well remember from last year how hard it is to wait. Fingers crossed that results land quickly and that waiting passes swiftly. Positive thoughts to you all Flowers

IrmaFayLear · 12/01/2021 08:11

Gulp! Dh and I whispering about how to deal with bad news...

BigWoollyJumpers · 12/01/2021 08:24

Morning all. DD up and dressed ready for her first lesson. She seems far more excited that her boyfriend is 18 today, she is officially dating an adult 😀.

Good luck to us Oxford hopefuls.

MatureStudent21 · 12/01/2021 08:25

Morning all! Just wanted to wish everyone luck again for this morning seeing as it’s decision day! 🍀

goodbyestranger · 12/01/2021 08:32

I hope you won't need to deal with that Irma but this is from the Keble Theology tutors in this year's feedback:

It was, as always, a privilege to meet such a talented group of students. As we have made clear in the past, candidates who did not secure a place should not regard this decision as a definitive verdict on their intellectual quality and potential. We balance a number of factors in a very complex process and we remind candidates that we only see a snapshot of each of them at a particular moment in their development.

calculatorqueen · 12/01/2021 08:33

Good luck everyone! DS got redirected in December but I've been lurking and following your journeys since.
