Dc ( Cambridge) has 2 interviews - one straight after . Dc seems to think the second one will be about her PS.

Out of interest are any of your DC's doing IB?

No not IB. She is doing Irish Leaving cert.

If anyone knows anyone who would do a mock PPE interview or current students who would chat I would be really appreciative.

Are the commercial organisations that do mock interviews any good?

@mikeandike do you feel IB requirements to enter same university is equivalent to AL? I suppose you wouldn't know unless same child has done AL 🤔

My DD has an interview!

She has been reassigned to a different college because "this year Keble faces an unprecedented situation this year where all of our available places for Archaeology and Anthropology in 2021 are already taken up by offer holders from the previous cycle." Scary. The whole university only takes 21 per year, so if at least 5 of them are taken up by deferred students...

But bloody hell - all the places taken at Keble?! They might have been up front before anyone applied. That’s not playing the game, is it? It’s what I had feared, but they said this year’s applicants wouldn’t be adversely affected, when clearly they are

DS heard at 4.30 this morning (!!) that he doesn't have an interview for PPE. He says he feels a bit sad but I'm sure he'll be fine. I suspect that it was probably the TSA.

Good luck for all those that have interviews and those that are still waiting. I will continue to pop in on this thread, to see how everyone is getting on.

although I'm surprised they're bold enough to admit what's going on and had thought the problem might be more Cambridge (who I believe generally over offer more than Oxford do).

Massive congrats to all other dc getting interviews this year as they clearly are a badge of honour given Keble's admission to deferred students severely limiting places available for this year's Y13s

@IrmaFayLear totally agree, some applicants may have wasted a lot of time and effort in applying plus one of their 5 UCAS choices because this sort of information was not made public before they submitted their application.

Can't quite believe the Keble line from summer15coming that's terrible if true.

DD1 (ex Oxford) is sitting here, and I just read that out. Her response was that they will create places elsewhere, and have to offer the same total number of places each year, just spread over different colleges. I hope she is right. I would have thought they will be in terrible trouble if that is not the case.
