DS got 4th offer in this evening 🥳 so it’s only UCL we are waiting for now and don’t expect to hear from them till Jan at the earliest. It’s a lower offer than his 2nd choice so that means he is sorted for firm and insurance, Cambridge offer or otherwise.

Oh, on spreadsheet dd subject has started appearing. Even from her college. However she says she hasn't received anything yet

Same here for DD, she said that all the Oxbridge candidates were constantly checking their 'phones today. Only one has an interview invite as yet (for a different subject to DD).

The remaining non early entry candidates who haven't yet made their UCAS submissions were given a "perhaps you should be getting on with it, does anyone need assistance ?" pep talk today apparently.

I do feel for the dc.. dcs’s school said that interviews are trickling in slightly slower than normal due to this year being well.. THIS year. It seems very hard on them.

DD has had an invitation to interview! Earth Science at Teddy Hall. She's very relieved because they interview most applicants so a redirection would have meant that her personal statement was bad. So now we have 10 days of stress ahead of us.

She's not sure of the etiquette re other applicants though. Her friends are all medicine applicants so are discussing interviews with each other. There is a girl in her Chemistry class who has also applied for Earth Science but she's not sure whether to say anything. I think she'd like to share the excitement and interview strategies with her but it could be awkward too.

The college DD applied to has an ongoing list of which subjects have sent out interview invitations so far. I found the link on their Twitter account, so it might be worth checking that avenue if your DC is still waiting. It's changed since I last checked, which was reassuring, and might be more reliable than information from randoms on TSR. Having said that, if there's no interview or, ultimately, offer, at least there's an easier decision to make.

It IS tricky @whiteroseredrose maybe leave it for a bit and see what happens?

DD has an English interview, heard earlier this evening. I walked in to ask her about dinner just as she was checking her email!

Oxford. Looked at the TSR spreadsheet and it seems a fair few English interview invites went out late this afternoon.

DD has discovered one of her interviewers has a special interest in literature pre 1780 ...

One of DD's Classics interviews last year was on a 1700 English poem (twenty minutes or so immediately prior to the interview to read it over).

DS has had the 'this is not an invitation for interview' email, but not an actual interview invitation yet - for Geography at Cambridge. Cross fingers!! One of his mates has been turned down for Comp Sci so he's getting a little worried...

DD just found out she has an interview for PPE.
She is really pleased because she really thought she wouldn’t get one. Not the college she applied for but she doesn’t mind that.

Ahh @Pythonesque my dd has applied for cambridge, good luck to all at the interviews, @goodbyestranger same my dd has had email and she will be given a piece of writing to 30 mins prior to interview to read over and will be discussed during interview, she has 2 interviews right after the other we think the 2nd one would be to discuss her ps?
