Presumably different faculties within a Uni can have different timescales for making offers.
There's plenty of official information available online regarding most Unis, Oxbridge included, but at the end of the day that is the official line. My employers make a claim regarding something in all of their literature/online marketing which potential service users do find attractive. The reality is almost always different (for any number of justification reasons) and new contacts never ask the right question to lock in that claim as applicable to them.
The intensity of Oxbridge academic life is why I can't help feeling DD would be eminently suitable to take up a place there. She thrives in that sort of situation as evidenced in school reports all the way through secondary school. Her happiest school years were when she finally "found her tribe" in about year 10. Don't get me wrong, she's always up for a bit of social life too but partying for the sake of it hasn't been her style to date.
I'm silently hoping so much that she is successful but currently expressing how nice all her other options will be if they are the end result of the process.
